I used to love this place, but I’m not sure what happened. Back in March 2025, I had my drive belt and tensioner replaced here. On Wednesday, 9/24, I brought my car to Nissan in Arlington Heights for a routine oil change, which includes a free inspection. Nissan informed me that my drive belt already had dry rot and that the tensioner was installed incorrectly. I called Barranco’s to let them know, and while they did say the work is under warranty, I was upset because this was less than six months ago. To make matters worse, when my friend went to pick up my car for me (since I was at work), she immediately called to tell me that my driver’s side window would not stay up—it was broken, which was not the case before bringing it in. I honestly don’t know what has happened to this place. I used to trust them, but now I’m devastated that not only did the repair not last, but I also have new damage to deal with.
