If you’re looking for a local auto repair shop that is dependable, trustworthy and friendly, look no further than Nolte’s Auto Repair in Carol Stream. This has been a gem for me to find. Mark is a real car guy and knows his trade. I appreciate his explanation of problems and recommendations. And where else can you bring your own oil / filter, and they will use it in their oil change? Nolte's Auto Repair had great reviews as i was searching for an auto repair place near my job. I decided to give them a call and ask for a quote and spoke with Mark who was extremely kind and professional. He quoted me on a new brake job which seemed pretty reasonable so I made an appointment with them for the following day which was today Feb. 10, 2026 as I'm writing this review. Anyhow so while I knew they would have my car up in the air I asked them to inspect my rear passenger side suspension as I knew i had another issue going on with my car back there. I went about my day at work and Mark called me to inform me of the issue going on with my rear suspension. Turns out my rear shock mount was broken so I needed a new shock assembly. They had already completed my front end rotors and pads brake job when Mark informed me of my suspension issue after they inspected the car so he quoted me and asked me if I also wanted it fixed while they still had my car up in the air and having the parts in stock and time to still complete the job before the end of the day. l received a great quote for my suspension issue as well and went with it! I couldn't be happier and glad I decided to give this business a chance to fix my car!!! I feel very good, very safe and happy with the Professionalism they provided me today. My car is as smooth as can be with no more brake squeaking and brake grinding, and no more rattling from that rear end issue that was happening all the time especially going over bumps in the road or some minor potholes as well. I'm Completely Satisfied with their work, their kindness and their Professionalism and on top of that Mark even picked me up at my job to bring me back to his shop as I didn't have a ride to get back there to my repaired car! Thank you so much Mark and your team!!! I feel so safe and happy with the quality and service you all provided to me today! Will most definitely be back in the future if I need anymore mechanical work done! Thanks Again Mark!!! Be blessed guys!

As a first time customer, I am super pleased with Nolte's Auto Repair! Mark answered the phone each time I called, helping me with everything from setting up the appointment to explaining the work being done. I knew some of the repairs for my 2017 Subaru would be costly, and Mark was very helpful in decision-making and prioritizing aspects of the work. All my concerns were addressed, and the prices seemed fair. I am enjoying driving a car that feels as good as new now! Happy to support a local small business, and I felt like a valued customer right from the beginning.
