Earlier this year I brought my wife’s 2015 Jeep Wrangler to Elmwood Certified Auto Service for repair. It was the first time I had been there. I had selected Elmwood Certified Auto Service based on the great reviews I read. I was looking for a non-dealer service that was highly skilled, honest, with fair pricing. I was literally amazed that I had found exactly what I was looking for, I didn’t think it could exist. I was tired of dealer service centers that would upcharge and sell everything they could. The dealer bills were astronomical each time I went in for service. I had enough. Al and his team were extremely helpful, friendly and would spend time explaining to me what was needed. All factory OEM parts used, and very prompt. I was so impressed I brought my 2018 Audi A6 in for repair 2 weeks later. Same exact incredible experience! I will be bringing my son’s car in there also. I have no problems recommending Elmwood Certified Auto Service. They deserve to thrive.

I’ve been bringing my cars to this shop for a while and was always pleased with their work, but a recent experience was a real highlight. After having my brake pads and rotors replaced, I wasn’t entirely satisfied with how the brakes felt. I brought it up with the owner, who took the time to talk with me in detail, explain the possible causes, and ultimately offered to replace the pads with a different compound—at no extra charge. That level of care, transparency, and commitment to customer satisfaction is what great service should look like in America. It’s rare to find a place that stands behind its work like this. Highly recommend this shop—it’s truly a hidden gem.

This place is by far all about the money and nothing about the service or customer satisfaction. I brought my vehicle in because the steering wheel shook every time the car reached a certain speed, it shook when I release the gas and when I pressed the breaks. I informed the owner Al that I thought it was a steering electrical problem because the steering jerked at times. He replaced my front suspension and said my rims were bent. He offered to fix my rims for $1,000, I told him I'll buy new rims for less than his price so $3500 later the steering still shook and when I called the shop he all of the sudden was never there and the mechanic was passing messages back to him that I want the problem I initially had with the steering fix since the $1,700 of work he did, did not fixed the shaking. He let the mechanic know that I still had to pay for the service all over again so I took my car to another mechanic and, "guess what"? It was the steering column needed to be replaced. So if you want to get ripped off, go to Elmwood certified. They are professional rip off mechanics there.
