My truck slid off into a ditch on a Friday afternoon. Police called this outfit which also goes by the nam Val-u. The guy in charge said the "extraction" charge was $600 when I said that was a lot he said he could charge whatever he wanted. I only had $400 but had the other $200 at home. AAA was paying for the tow so they took the $400 and said I had to pay the rest up front and the card had to be present. When I got they money they said they were closed and dropped my 12 year old daughter and myself at a local Walmart to fend for ourselves and told us to call in the morning. Big thank you to the employee at Walmart who saw us sitting there and offered my daughter half of his snacks. Next morning I call and I'm told they'll arrange to meet you. I waited an hour and called back. Their response "every time you call you go to the back of the line" 2 hours later I call to check, yeah back of the line again. Finally at 6 a new person said oh no were closed on weekends. I call on Monday morning again back of the line. Finally they tell me the charge is now $1000. I tried to work things out but they are punishing me for calling too much. Finally after a week they let me get my heart meds. I called a lawyer. I'd rather pay him the extra money. I would rather push a vehicle up an icy hill than deal with them again.
