Went to Schroon Lake for our annual family vacation. While on our 5 hour drive, we noticed some shaking and vibrations from our car. Went to North Country Auto to have our car checked out for any problems. They had us on a lift within minutes and thoroughly checked the suspension. They pointed out that my tires were worn more than I realized, and that was most likely the issue- but not an emergency. I found the folks there to be really trustworthy, friendly and knowledgeable. They only charged me $20, which was more than fair. Believe the other reviews here, these men are honest professionals and I am glad I went to them.

I wish I could give Wayne, the owner of North Country a 10-star Google rating! You don't find helpful, caring and skilled folks like Wayne very much anymore. Another wrecker service did not fully tighten the lug nuts after changing a flat tire of my RV. I drove on it for 160 miles and not only were the studs damaged, but so was the wheel. Wayne came to my aid (a fellow RVer, by the way) and made things right so I could finish my trip and get home safely. Seriously, if you are in the area and need a quality mechanic, give North Country a call.

This place helped me out of a very bad situation. Driving six hours to canada and my car acted up 3/4 of the way. They took it in with no hesitation and the price for the job was average.
