Had a near disaster on 95 on New Year's Eve. Had to get our truck towed over to Custom Fleet Services so I called up Ronnie's. They sent their flatbed right over and when I explained that my wife, two toddlers, and I would also need a ride they said "no problem" and sent a crew cab pickup out too. We swapped the car seats into the back of the pickup and they gave us a ride over to CFS. Absolutely fantastic service.

Super nice and polite in the first phone call, got quoted 225 an hour with 2 hours minimum. Fine. Guy shows up at 10am works for 30 minutes says there's nothing he can do instantly telling me he doesn't have fitting or hoses to help. I spent the next 3 hours convincing him to just bridge the air tanks, while his dispatcher convincing me to tow the truck up the road, i finally tell the teck that he can just ride 9 miles up the road to 24 hour parts house in kenley. I'll cover the expenses. And then he finally at 1 pm he hops out of truck and does what i was asking him to do since 10am. Simple air line from 1 tank to the other. Now the original quote of 225 an hour 2 hour minimum turns into from 9am to 1pm and in they're calculations that turns into 1200.00 for a half hour job that he spent 90 percent of the time sitting in his van cause it was freezing out. Point being pretty sure he's using outside independent techs and guy has no business coming out to road service without being properly equipped or at least willing to ride to get the propper parts.

While traveling to FL towing our kayak trailer, one of the springs broke, causing the trailer axle to dislodge, wedging that tire on the fender. In the dark on the side of the road, feeling fortunate that nothing struck another vehicle and no one was injured, we searched for a tow truck. Luckily, we reached Ronnie's. The tow truck driver was very competent, polite, and sweet. The trailer was loaded on the roll-up and we drove on to our hotel in Dunn with the assurance that our yaks and gear would be secured in the tow yard. We weren't sure if they could repair the trailer or whether we would need to rent a u-haul. We picked up our trailer full of gear and yaks today. Ronnie's staff replaced both springs, all u-bolts and other hardware, replaced the damaged rear light, changed out the damaged tire and provided pleasant professional service throughout the process. I note that they had a yard full of trucks already there, waiting for service, but they attended to our repairs right away so we could travel on. Their towing charge and repair bill were both quite reasonable, fair and clearly explained. They are trustworthy and eager to help us get to our destination. I'd note that a few months ago, we had a very negative experience with predatory towers who demanded cash late at night, charged far more than Ronnie's towing fee for towing a quarter of the distance, and treated us and the others (whose cars were towed from the same venue) with contempt and rudeness. The kindness and helpfulness of everyone we encountered at Ronnie's was a stark contrast. They wouldn't even take our credit card info until we picked up the repaired trailer. They treated us like family. I hope I don't have a similar experience... But I wholeheartedly recommend Ronnie's to all travelers. Honest, fair, capable and kind.
