Came in for a replacement brake light bulb. Store was empty, and there were 3 employees hanging out behind the counter. Told them what I needed, and the woman proceeded to look it up on the computer. She had a bit of an attitude from the jump, so I knew it would be an interesting interaction. She found the bulb I needed and went and retrieved it. Just out of curiosity, I looked up on their website whether or not they’d put the bulb in for me while I was there. The website confirmed that they would, depending on the model (mine is easy). It was a beautiful fall day outside, and the employees were just standing around, so I figured they might want to get out of the shop for a minute. I asked aloud, “Do you guys replace the bulbs for folks?” The younger guy said, “yeah we can”, and before he could even finish, the woman replied, “no we don’t.” I then stated, “well the website says you do.” She then said, “don’t tell me what the website says,” with a smirk on her face. Regardless of whether you do or not, her reply was incredibly rude. I made my purchase and left. I wasn’t about to argue with her, and at that point the cash tip I was planning on giving whoever did it was off the table. That’s right, her rudeness cost them a cash tip. I went home and replaced it in all of 5 minutes, and of course one of the bulbs in the two pack I bought looked faulty. I could tell that someone had previously returned the bulbs, probably because of the faulty one, because the package was cleverly taped back together. Fortunately I only needed one, and I wasn’t about to go back in there and deal with her again. Long story short, I’ll be taking my business to Advanced Auto right next door from now on.
