Service is terrible! I have been there twice now for an inspection and everytime its time for me to leave my car doesn't start or the dash board is lit up like Christmas and they have to take it back in to fix what they did wrong to my battery and/ or sensors. On my last inspection they failed me for only having a front right tire going bad. Something I went up the street replaced the same hour. I also have an older car that instead of even offering to fix the one problem they gave me a list of shops in richmond that can do the work because they were going to lunch and closing early. I didn't say the work needed to be done today.

I went in to have my husband's truck and my car inspected today 12/19/25 . and the service I received was much appreciated the young man that inspect our vehicles was so pleasant and he advised what minor repair was needed to complete the inspection This was not the first time we had been to Talleys and it won't be the last. We really appreciate the honesty and thats really RARE to find in these times.

Had a disappointing experience at this mechanic shop. My low mileage Tesla failed inspection due to alleged bad suspension and tint, just days after clearing a Tesla maintenance check. After contacting Tesla, they reviewed the checklist and confirmed the suspension was fine. It's concerning that this shop would falsely identify issues to gain business. I only visited due to Tesla's long wait times for state inspection, but this shop's questionable practices make me hesitant to recommend them. Be cautious. I recommend going to your manufacturer service center for all car service. Update two weeks after failed inspection: I removed the tint with no other repairs to my car then took my car to Tesla for the State Inspection and PASSED successfully. The results were clear: my suspension was perfectly fine, and no repairs were needed. Tesla's inspection confirmed that the previous shop's claims were unfounded. Given the choice between this shop's questionable practices and the reliability of Tesla's service center, l'd strongly recommend opting for the manufacturer-approved service center for all your car service needs including State inspection. Their transparency and expertise are invaluable. Be cautious of shops that may prioritize profits over accuracy.
