Standing on the side of the road as the Sun goes down, looking at the front wheel of your truck as it hangs by the brake line is a nightmare come true. Luckily, I called Navarre's Auto Service and talked with the owner, David, via the after-hours emergency towing number. David was on site shortly after and winched the truck onto the wrecker and hooked up the loaded trailer I was hauling then dropped me off with my trailer at the farm before heading on to his shop. All I can say is, "What a RELIEF!" The truck is 25 years old so it's now an antique but is the workhorse for our farm and we can't do much without it for very long. Getting parts for something this old can be a challenge. Tommy wrote up the estimate but they hadn't located a suitable, used replacement part in an attempt to save me some money (it would be rare to find an original still on the shelf for something this old anyway) We decided to go with an 'after-market part' and it was delivered two days later. I stopped by about a week after that and managed to drop my new gloves somewhere in town that day. I called to see if I lost them there. Stephanie had them and mentioned someone found them in the parking lot. My wife threatened to sew them to my shirt if I wasn't more careful! I contacted service just to check on progress and Tommy gave me an update. Kris had installed all the new parts, greased the new bearings, adjusted all the new steering links, and was performing a total wheel alignment, and I could pick up the truck in a day or two. I was a very happy camper at this point. Finally, the day came and I picked up the truck. After paying the bill I took the key and jumped in and started the truck. As I pulled out of the parking lot I got about 100 feet down the road when I realized the truck drove like it did years ago. The steering was tight, the steering wheel was not in it's usual 1 o'clock position while driving forward, and when I stepped on the pedal, the brakes were responsive. Our antique is like a new truck! I wholeheartedly give Navarre's a 5-star rating. Why? It started with David dropping what he was doing after hours to assist us during a crisis. Got me and our loaded trailer home before carting our baby to the shop. Tommy wrote up a complete estimate with an emphasis on cost savings but also on eliminating any potential problems in the future. I hope to keep this truck now that it's broken in so replacing other parts that were potentially damaged made a lot of sense and well worth the added cost as I experienced the minute I got behind the wheel! Thank you to the entire team!

Took my car there on 9/11/25 because the check engine light came on and the car would act funny when turning off. The company sent me one text with an estimate for repairs, never contacted me after to let me know it was done or anything, argued with me even though I proved to Tim he never contacted me expect the day it was initially dropped off. Picked my car up after pay $1,000 to them and my check engine light was still on. Between Navarres and tires unlimited I’m am learning Virginia is the worst place for mechanics

I brought my vehicle in for a simple issue. While the technical work was completed successfully, and the car now operates correctly, I was extremely disappointed and frankly offended by the unprofessional and condescending tone used in the Labor/Notes section of my invoice. The technician chose to include a completely unnecessary comment questioning my situation, writing: "TECH FOUND - FOB WOULD NOT OPERATE VEHICLE... (OR IS A TOYOTA FOB)?... RECOMMEND REPLACING THE KEY FOB WITH THE PROPER MAZDA ONE TO BEGIN WITH." As a paying customer, I expect a professional summary of the technical service performed, not unsolicited, snide remarks about my personal property. It is completely inappropriate for this kind of commentary to be included in an official service document. This lack of professionalism completely overshadowed the repair work itself and reflects poorly on your company’s customer service standards. I chose your shop for expertise, not for judgmental notes from the service team. I have been a loyal customer since moving to Louisa and have spent over $600 with your shop this year, which makes this entire experience even more disappointing. As a result, I will no longer be using your services and will certainly be looking for a different, more respectful provider for any future needs.
