I would like to start this review by saying I posted the review on their Facebook as well, and they have BLOCKED my profile. I can view their page from a different profile, but not mine, even when their page is shared directly to me. A company silencing a customer who had a negative experience isn’t just unprofessional, it’s cruel. DO NOT give them your money. An apology could have prevented me from posting this on Google as well. After my mom hit a deer on 10/30, her car was taken by Badger State Towing, the company the officer had on rotation. The next morning I called to confirm they had the car and spoke with S (will not put her name this time for her privacy), who was extremely helpful and told me she would prepare an estimate and call back. My mom went to the lot at 4907 Dutch Mill Drive while waiting, but I failed to tell her not to speak with anyone until we heard back from S. At the lot, the general manager approached my mom and gave her an estimate of over $1,000 due to the “emergency call.” Since her car was totaled, my mom asked if they could just scrap it. He said they would, but only if she signed over the title and paid $400. She called me, and I called S to confirm. S immediately said my mom should not sign or pay anything yet because nothing had been approved on their end. She told me she'd speak with her boss and call back. I relayed this to my mom and told her to wait. However, the general manager insisted that he was S’s boss and claimed she needed to follow what he said — even though S had just explained she was waiting for approval from someone else entirely. So already, something felt very off. What made things worse is that the manager had allowed my mom to take a box of her belongings out of the totaled car before anything was finalized. Later, they treated this as if she had “taken” something without permission — even though he personally told her she could take it. When she returned to the car she was borrowing, they suddenly backed a tow truck up behind her, blocking her in so she couldn’t leave. The general manager and another employee aggressively confronted her, yelling that because she took the box, she now had to sign the title over and pay the $400 immediately. My mom tried to explain she only took the box because he told her she could, and that she would gladly put the box back if it was an issue. He refused and continued escalating the situation, trying to intimidate her into paying on the spot. We finally got the estimate back from S, but by that point my mom was cornered between two grown men, being pressured and yelled at as if she had done something wrong—when in reality she was simply waiting for the official call as instructed. She is a 5’2”, 56-year-old woman who had just been in an accident; the way they treated her was completely unnecessary and predatory. Feeling trapped, my mom ended up paying the $400 so they would scrap the totaled vehicle. After taking her payment, they allowed her to retrieve the rest of her items—but they recorded her doing it, as if she were the one trying to take advantage of them, when it was clearly the other way around. In the end, this entire situation was created by the general manager’s own lack of communication and aggressive behavior. What should have been a simple, straightforward process turned into them trapping and intimidating a woman who was simply trying to follow directions from their own office. S was wonderful, but the behavior of the general manager at 4907 Dutch Mill Drive was completely unacceptable, and I would never recommend this company to anyone—especially women who could easily be put in the same vulnerable position my mom was.

This place needs to be investigated by the better business bureau. My car was held here twice unfortunately. But both times they didn’t answer the phone for me until their lot was closed so that they can charge me extra money. I’m sure I’m not the only person they do this too. This place needs to be investigated so they can loose their license to tow people cars off the streets. This place is a scam

Excellent service! They arrived earlier than I expected and the driver was friendly and extremely helpful. He actually attempted to start my vehicle with a jump before towing which I didn’t expect but appreciated greatly. He also offered to leave my keys in the drop box and fill out the service envelope for me at the auto repair shop where he dropped off my vehicle and he said that he would include his input on what we tried to do before the tow as well. It was a terrific experience and I would rate Finish Line Towing #1!
