Somewhere near I-20 in Conyers during rush hour, my SUV suddenly started overheating and completely shut down before I could make it to the next exit. I managed to get onto the shoulder, but with traffic flying past and steam coming from under the hood, it got stressful pretty quickly. I searched emergency tow truck expecting a huge wait with traffic backed up like that, but Gold Roger's Towing and Roadside showed up in about 30 minutes. Driver walked over calmly, checked under the hood for a minute, then helped move my SUV a little farther from traffic before loading it onto the truck. He even reminded me to grab my backpack and charger from the backseat because my brain was completely scattered at that point. Better experience than dealing with my insurance roadside assistance line. Rare towing service call that actually made a rough afternoon feel easier to handle.

Called Gold Roger's, 30 minutes, jump worked, driver tested the battery and said the Georgia summer had been aging it faster than the rated lifespan and it was at the low end. Told me to replace it before the next heat stretch. Did it that week. Honest, no pressure, practical. Good number to have in Conyers.
