We recently hired folks at Steve's Auto Center to repair my brothers truck. The company had the truck for months, took thousands of dollars from a hard working young man and never did the repairs. When we tried to pick up the truck it didn't make it off the lot. After further inspection we found the truck was in worse condition then when we hired them to fix it. We immediately went back to the shop with our concerns and got strung along with no resolution. The lady in the office claimed to be the owner and refused to help us or honor the repairs we paid them for. The customer service is extremely poor and the place is incompetent. If I had been able to read this company's reviews I would have chosen another shop to do the work and I suggest anyone reading this review to do the same. Thank you for your time.

I just want to state that i read all these 1 star reviews... and they all make sense with the crap i have had to deal with from Steve's over the last 15-20 years. From all the way back to when they were at the shop on Oak St in town, to more recently at their big shop. They clearly make money, but dont make that success fool you into thinking their customer support is good. Its trash, the worse. The 5 stars are all people that have very simple stuff done. I had my tie rods replaced, 2 inner, 2 outer. This was back uh, 12 years ago maybe? I went back cause my car was still acting up. The guys in the shop took the tires off and ask what they had done there... and i told them the tie rods, they took out a piece of something and cussed in spanish, telling the other guy he didnt do what he was supposed to do. Fun. The guys are complaining about not getting stuff out of their vehicles. Thats a thing. I had a wreck, cop asked if i wanted them to call a tow service for me. I said yes, i told them steves. Cause... i dont really like the other guys and steves at least reliable with towing. I figured i would have it towed there, grab my stuff, get it repaired there too. Simplistic. I get there 5 min after the driver and they tell me i cant get anything out without some bs from the insurance companies saying they are going to cover it. I have full coverage... of course they are going to cover it. Its their closing time. Its friday. I had just earlier before the wreck bought some medication that was supposed to be kept chilled. They BARELY let me get that... and it was someone else that had to get it. I had to pull teeth to actually get the rest of my stuff out of the vehicle, even after the insurance company said they were going to cover it. Im not sure who hurt them... but this is some PTSD level trust issues. I couldnt even get my stuff without being supervised. It took them over a month to repair the damage due to some parts they couldnt find OEM... cause they wont do after market apparently. If they are fixing it from insurance, they cant get used parts i guess, even if the old parts arnt made anymore. So i got new parts on my old vehicle which doesnt look horrible but its not the old special parts... and i couldnt keep the old parts to see if i could fix them myself. Fun! Ive had several instances like this with Steves. They do the work, its mid at best for quality. Body work that was done is wonky... large, non aligned correctly gaps. Door doesnt shut correctly and doesnt properly seal now. They told me it was going to ride rough because of a mismatched tire type, come to find out the grinding drone i was hearing after it left their shop was the bearing in the wheel that was hit in the wreck. A couple months later now and i cant get that covered under insurance so thats a fun surprise of another 600$ after i paid my 2000$ deductible to get it fixed. So yeah... just know what you are getting into. I also dont think they are the cheaper place you can go that does these services... and the others likely have better customer service and do better work... or at least similar work with a smile. Id rather work with smiles mcgee for a lower price and have this sort of work done. Cause at least i can say "Well, at least they were nice <3" but these people are shrewd... uncaring... very "i dont care what you want, i know what i want and if you dont like that you can go somewhere else." type people. But hey, its worked out for them so far.

Oof, I'm shocked this company is still in business but even more shocked they have insurance. They are a HUGE liability. Their drivers are absolutely RECKLESS. They fact that their owners argue back with customers is WILD WORK. Do better. Just choose a different company.
