I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Joshua the call center supervisor. It's clear he is in charge of training all the support agents. Every agent I either spoke with or texted with was snarky and unhelpful. Joshua most of all. Joshua continuously tried to speak over me. Was completely unable to help my situation. I purchased items online, through the app, incorrect parts were in the order so I returned them to the local store where I had picked the parts up. Upon returning items the online store gave me an EGift Card in the total of returned items. Mind you I had receipt so money should have been returned to my card. It was not. I was told repeatedly that the only recourse was a paper check. Are you kitten me? After speaking with Joshua, the highest representative I could speak with from a the call center as he repeatedly referred to himself, I was able to determine that I won't spend any money with Advance Auto again. In store staff is amazing and very helpful. Online ordering is a nightmare. I surely hope Joshua, the highest representative at the call center that I would ever speak to continues to train the agents to be snarky and unhelpful. If treating customers like crap and losing their business is the goal of Joshua, the highest representative of the call center, he is exceeding his goals. Joshua, the highest representative of the call center, with whom I could speak with was unprofessional and downright rude. I hope our call was recorded for training purposes so in the future it can be referenced as how not to interact with customers. Joshua, the highest representative of the call center. One star is too many. They sold me a bad alternator that did about $1,400.00 in damage to my electrical system. Advance Auto will not reimburse me for the damage, despite a long paper-trail of receipts. I've provided written proof from 2 different auto repair shops clearly stating that the alternator was bad. Now they are blaming me because I didn't say anything to the associate at the store when I returned the part. I'm not shopping there again. I'm sorry I shopped there in the first place.

Advance Auto Parts sold me two bad batteries in a row. The first one I bought in 2023 didn’t even last a year. They replaced it in 2024, and that replacement battery failed again in 2025 after only nine months. That is not normal—that is a product quality problem. When I called customer service, Tanya was polite and professional. But the supervisor Miles was one of the most disrespectful customer service representatives I have ever dealt with. He was condescending, rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in helping me. He even told me he didn’t care if I filed complaints or posted reviews because he’d “respond to all of them.” Well here ya go miles ! Reply away ! So I can debunk anything you respond to with stackable evidence ! You sell faulty products to consumers. He brushed off the fact their products are failing early and acted like it didn’t matter. Miles’s behavior completely violates the customer service values Advance Auto Parts claims to stand for. If this is how supervisors treat customers—and if their products fail this quickly—I will be taking this as far up the chain as I need to.
