I was in town for business and found this to be a pretty typical NYC experience for the price point. Through squinted eyes the hotel looks as though it's trying to be modern and stylish. However, there's a great deal of wear and tear to be seen everywhere (e.g. lobby and restaurant furniture and carpeting, in-room furniture [headboards, desk chairs, deeply stained bathroom tiles], elevators, etc.) The rooms are NYC-tiny, without even space to open the luggage rack - thankfully there was a chest of drawers. The furnishings, carpeting, drapery, and bathroom show years of wear and tear, which they try to spruce up with art work. Oddly though, basics are lacking such as tissues and season-appropriate bedding (e.g. the comforter was essentially a blanket). The worst however is the nickel and diming that occurs here. Internet crawls unless you pay a fee to upgrade. Fridges and coffee makers are removed unless you pay an extra fee. Some rooms are offered a food and beverage credit, which is rather arbitrarily applied (we were in a group and some received it and others did not despite using the same booking link) and only applies to food from the on-site restaurant and the Crunch fitness on the lower level since the hotel has no stand-alone gym. It does not apply to snacks from the hotel gift shop and depending on the hotel employee checking you out random rules may prevent it from being applied (e.g. it can't be used on check out day). The restaurant is definitely not worth it and far better deals can be had for the $36.79 charged for a hospital cafeteria-esque breakfast buffet. Additionally and oddly some of our group also had "resort fees" tacked onto their invoices, but not all. Perhaps find another place to stay.

This hotel was absolutely amazing. It’s honestly located in the best area of Manhattan, with so many touristic attractions nearby just to walk to. We stayed from New Year’s Eve and a couple days into the beginning of January. The credits we received extra per day for food and beverage, laundry, and free gym access were such a nice surprise from the hotel. I would highly recommend coming here in the winter time or in the summertime, you can go wrong with either. The room we had was beautiful, spacious, and had a somewhat nice view from the 28th floor. The beds were super comfortable and we slept great with no interruptions. One issue we did have was the plumbing. Out of the four days we were there, two of the days our toilet was clogged, and we had to call the front desk to come in and fix the issue. There are Metro stations nearby, which are a five minute walk or an eight minute walk. It is very easy to get around and you can’t get lost. There is also a cute small store in the lobby where you can find basic essentials for purchase if you run out of them. We were also given free water. We were there every day, two free city, bike passes, and free Wi-Fi. Overall, highly recommend this location and hotel, you can’t go wrong!

Nice hotel. The doormen were always very pleasant and helpful. Desk staff were also very courteous. The room I had was adequate. King bed and TV with two closets. Smaller bathroom, but that's midtown Manhattan for ya. I had a Keurig machine in my room and fridge- thought it was standard, but soon learned it was not. Pretty much you got lucky or it was first come first serve for these appliances, including a microwave. I stayed about two weeks and asked for a microwave nearly everyday of my stay until the day I got lucky and got one. They said they put my name on a list but I think it was really the staying on top of it that got me the microwave. I feel like in a Marriott hotel (Autograph collection) in 2026, every room should have these three appliances. Apart from that all the staff I interacted with were so friendly. The room was clean and did not smell. Heating and cooling worked well. It was a little dim even with all the lamps on. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows for the most part. The noises from the hotel were loud and obnoxious. I used ear plugs when I could (there was a pair provided in the bedside table as well for "NY's loud noises"). Breakfast was offered for a fee. At the time of my visit it was a buffet for $36. I did not partake in this therefore have no comment. The entirety of the hotel itself, the common areas and lobby, were clean and well maintained. Another annoyance to me was that ice machines were only on certain levels. On about six various levels out of the 27 stories. On site access to the crunch gym downstairs was nice. I only went once because of time constraints. Small gym but has enough to get a good workout in. Friendly staff as well. The hotel was located in a great spot in midtown, next to a subway station as well as Grand Central. Quick access to many common sites. Overall would stay again, but would be frustrated if I didn't have a fridge or microwave so I would opt for a hotel that would guarantee me such.
