A delightful new home goods and art shop in the neighborhood- soooo perfect for last minute holiday gifts and presents too! Miguel and Sofia are so warm and friendly when you first walk in- offering free almond milk hot chocolate on weekends and offering the stories behind any products. There are great sculptures, vases, conversation pieces, textiles, incense, candles, bath salts, paintings, fresh flower arrangements, and ceramics here. We got a few Christmas ornaments handmade in Oaxaca Mexico. I absolutely recommend coming here for one of their many events, or just a weekend stroll for cool gifts. Plus everything is direct trade from the artisans, so you can feel good about supporting artists and makers.

I’ve been to this place twice now. Both times same uncomfortable and sad but very real experience. I walked in both times to be ignored while the sales person in the front only acknowledged the white customers and only seemed to care about their needs. When I asked for help she seemed upset as if I was not worth her time, this situation happened both times. Months apart with different sales associates. This is disheartening that is happening in a Latino owned and “proud” establishment in such a historical Latino neighborhood but is something that sadly happens frequently.

I love the Te amo Oaxaca place. The staff is very friendly and the ítems are beautiful. I would like to come back soon and buy more things for my friends and family.
