Stayed Friday–Sunday during the first weekend of March 2026. Overall, the stay was convenient for skiing at Hunter, but there were several small things that kept the experience from feeling like a true resort stay. The positives: Parking was easy and the room itself was clean. The property has some decent amenities including a pool, two hot tubs, an arcade (we played air hockey), a gym, and laundry facilities. We were too tired after skiing to use the pool and hot tubs, but they looked well maintained. The downsides: The TV was extremely small—about the size of a computer monitor—and the picture quality wasn’t great. It also wasn’t a smart TV, which was disappointing since after a long day on the slopes it would’ve been nice to relax and watch Netflix or stream something. The bathroom was clean, but none of the shampoo, body wash, or lotion dispenser pumps worked, so we had to unscrew the bottles just to use them. Small detail, but inconvenient. We booked the smallest studio with a queen bed and couch. It only had a mini fridge and a coffee maker—no microwave or hot water kettle. The fridge was placed on the counter next to a small sink, which made the setup feel a bit basic. Dining options were limited. There’s only one restaurant in the lodge, so we ended up getting Chinese takeout one night and going to Chicken Run the next day for chicken and steak. The free breakfast was very minimal—just muffins and coffee. It would be nice if they offered an optional paid breakfast buffet, especially at a ski resort where people want a hearty meal before hitting the slopes. When I remember going to hunter as a kid and having a guest breakfast buffet served daily in the dining room with scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles, oatmeal, fruit, pastries, cereal, juice, and coffee. I’m not sure what changed, but it was definitely a bit of a bummer that they don’t offer something like that anymore. Bottom line: Not a bad stay, and the location is very convenient if you’re skiing or snowboarding at Hunter Mountain. But with a few upgrades—better in-room amenities, working bathroom dispensers, and a more substantial breakfast—the experience could be much better.

Walk-out ski-in hotel. Short walk up a hill to the run, was not bad, just not ski-out. The restaurant/bar was only open 4-9, so bring food to cook and alcohol for cocktails. We had a king suite but the bed was a queen. The furniture is outdated and not very cozy. I did like the ski/pole valet. The skiing was great! We would come back for the skiing. The only run I didn’t care for was Belt Parkway which is the run the hotel is on.

I thought the room was nice. The gym and pool staff was very kind. I liked that. The kitchen had everything you probably could need it in. The desk staff was kind but they weren't really helpful with needs. The pool and gym hours close pretty early compared to some hotel guys that are 24/7. The sauna and steam room were cool additions. I liked that the gym had a stair climber and ski machine but the machines were definitely worn down. Good for a night or two.
