Poor customer service. My husband and I tried to open an account on a Saturday. Cause that is the best time our schedules match up. When we got there, no one was at the desk, a line to the door started to accumulate although tellers were behind the glass no one was interested in helping us at the front desk. One of the people in the line had to inquire where the Rep was. When the Rep did show up she wanted us to stand at the front desk in front of everyone with our personal documents to set up the account. After we asked to have a place to sit down for privacy she told we had to wait some more to see if Francine shows up. Which who never did. After waiting for a while, we decided to leave and go elsewhere. A month prior we had a similar experience in the Chelsea branch. It seems that HSBC isn't a really interested developing quality customer service.

With ALL my credentials and I was denied a replacement debit card at the branch because....my cellphone is prepaid. Completely inexcusable. I'm sure if I was white with my same credentials my experience would been different.

Cant give HSBC in general 0 stars but that is what they deserve I'm not writing about this branch but the Bank itself. Made two mobile deposits and wake up the following day to my account frozen because they need to verify where the money is coming from. Now I cant even use the money that was already in the account. As soon as they unfreeze my account getting my money out and going to another bank with it
