We entered the Great Smoky Mountains, and this was the first visitor center we came across. You can purchase your entry pass here — $5 for a day pass or $15 for a week pass. The place is clean and well maintained. It’s a great stop to pick up maps and ask questions from the helpful staff inside. The restrooms are decent, and there’s a lovely area behind the center where you can walk around the old barns and enjoy the beautiful stream or river that flows nearby

Went on a school field trip for my child, the Guide was so knowledgeable. I can't remember his name, but really loved his enthusiasm and depth. Takes about 1.5 hours. All walking outside, gentle slopes, living history type of a museum. Worth the time spent in Cherokee.

Enjoyable experience. Had a good time learning about the Cherokee. Would be 5 star except it was a little hard hearing the the tour guide and presenters.
