I traveled over an hour to Martin’s Auto Repair because of the great reviews and recommendations from people I know who regularly take their vehicles there. From my personal experience, it absolutely lived up to the reputation. The service was smooth, efficient, and professional from start to finish. While they weren’t able to complete all of the repairs my vehicle needs in one visit, they addressed what they could and were transparent about the additional work that would need to be scheduled. I really appreciated their honesty and clear communication throughout the process. Unfortunately, my car ended up not starting the following day, which required me to seek help closer to home — but that was due to the ongoing issues with my vehicle, not the quality of service I received. Overall, I’m grateful for their effort and professionalism, and I would still recommend Martin’s Auto Repair based on my experience.

I took my truck in for an inspection and shifter cable adjustment. I was told it need a new headlight connector to pass inspection as well. The truck had no check engine light on and was running fine when it was brought in. Here are the facts. A day after picking it up from the shop my check engine light went on. I ran a diagnostic and it told me "emissions" I opened the hood to find what Martins did / left me with: 1) A piece of paper shoved in the engine bay- The diagram print out for the wiring of my trucks headlight. 2) The old headlight connector chilling on top of my radiator. 3) The electric tape that was used in the fitting of my new headlight connector may as well have not been applied as it was already falling off. Now, If all of that doesn't scream: "How can I exert the least amount of effort and get the most amount of money..." Then I don't know what does. *The icing on the cake, and main reason for this review, is getting my truck back and having the check engine light come on for emissions.* After further inspection I found the rubber seal on my ignition coil was missing. ***** I had recently replaced my spark plugs and 1 Ignition coil (you can see the new one in the pictures) and everything ran fine for months. Then I get it back from Martins, check engine light for emissions, and the rubber seal on one of my ignition coils gone. You do the math****** This is a common mechanic scam in order to get you back in the door. I have had other shops do similar things to trigger check engine lights and it's so sad that it happens. More people should be aware of this and look for it. If you have recently had work done at Martins check your spark plugs (make sure they haven't been loosened) and check your Ignition coils ( make sure they have their rubber seals and are fully installed). Also some of the hoses in my engine bay were disconnected on return of my Truck so, If I were you, I'd make sure your hoses and any clips are all hooked up- chance is they won't all be. Also, the price quoted and the final price were different. Of course the final price was more, like $150+ more than the quoted price. Which is VERY wrong to do. I've done business with enough shops to know that there should always be a itemized quote sheet with parts and labor costs separated and the quoted price should always be the same as the final price. Why do you have to do things the WRONG way Martins? Why? If you were honest and took pride in your work I would have brought my fleet of vehicles into your shop and told everyone how good your are. Sadly, you are another shop that likes to do the least amount of effort for the most $$$. AND you are the same as the other shops in the sense that you do things, on purpose, to trigger check engine lights in order to get people back in the door. Shame on you Martins. I'm not mad...I'm disappointed to find yet another mechanic to stay away from.
