Knox County Inconvenience Center personnel responsible for convenient center operations do not appear to realize that they are funded by the tax payers and are public servants intended to provide services to the community they serve. They are closed on Wednesdays which increases the traffic through the dump on the other 4.5 days they are open. When one of the plethora of holidays they close occurs, they still keep the dump closed on Wednesdays which causes even more congestion on the 3.5 days they are open. When it snows the least little bit, they close or open late so they can “prepare the grounds” for the safety of the citizens which results in even more congestion on the remaining 2 or 3 days the dump is accessible. If they are so concerned about citizen safety, why do they close so many days and cram a week’s worth of community trash volume into such narrow windows of time? It results in massive congestion of cars, large dumpster trucks, citizens, and staff crammed in a small area trying to navigate around one another which increases the risk of accidents and/or someone getting hurt.

The older black guy who works here is so rude, after you try and explain they just laugh at you. Will never return! Moved to Knoxville little over a month ago and he’s the first jerk I’ve come across!
