I've literally only been to JCD once before, years ago. I just don't typically have a lot of metal to recycle. Well, I went again today, to recycle a bag of old trampoline springs. Probably about 20 lbs, so worth maybe $5. Still though, it was my $5. When I approached the man at the back of the building (with the red N. Oconee jacket), he asked if I wanted to get rid of the springs (duh, why do you think I'm here). He said I wouldn't get much for them, and I said that's fine. He proceeded to toss them in a bin, shake my hand, and say "have a nice day." I decided not to press for my money. Any business that assumes that I drove all the way to them only to give them something for free and not at least offer me money for my goods (regardless of how much), isn't worth my time. And they aren't worth yours.FYI - I had plans to drop that $5 off with a homeless guy who's been hanging out behind the Loganville Racetrac. Oh well.
