I was referred to Northlake Auto recycling by a Michigan used auto parts store when they found the part I needed on car-parts.com. I called and spoke to Paul. He said he would have the Chrysler 300 screen pulled, and if I drive the 80 miles, I can test it in my car to make sure it worked before buying it. He called me the next morning and sent a photo to show its condition. I decided to make the drive since it is hard to find one that is not fully delaminated. Before and during the sale, Paul wanted to be sure I could do as much testing as possible to not have to drive back from Michigan. Upon arrival, this is the best business sales floor I have ever seen! It is REMARKABLE! The entire office is tactfully decorated with unique antiques, collector items, AND it is super clean! I noticed ALL employees were very friendly, knowledgeable, and just like Paul, went out of their way to help me! I was able to test the radio, received help on how to access the security code, and even borrowed a screwdriver to finish the install. While waiting for the security code, I appreciated hearing the employees speak in English and Spanish to help all the customers coming in. I 100% will refer people to this auto recycle business. 12 years ago, I had to move a business that has been in the same building for 32 years, including a lot of things out of the 5000 square-foot basement – as I am not very good at throwing things away(but extremely good at hoarding and keeping things that I don’t need) I was filling up a six yard dumpster twice a week with my wife’s instruction and guidance and help – I was gently trying to explain to her that some of these items we are paying to throw away, we could recycle and we actually could get some cash in the process. She catches on pretty fast, and I created a recycling monster!🤓😂 she now saves cans and other metal objects, throws them in the back of her expensive car and takes them to JB salvage – no matter who the boys are working when she comes, they are always very professional, courteous, and extremely kind and helpful, and I thank you for that! I myself visit both sides, buying scrap metal once or twice a year, buying an auto part or two once or twice a year, and taking scrap metal including jump cars two or three times a year(I drive demolition Derby so of course I will have these items) I feel I’ve always been treated good and when needed, helped, and I very much enjoy Chris, Richard, and really everyone down there – thank you for the service you provide, my wife and I appreciate you very much! ❤️ jolly Dave

After having dealt with mechanics all over for some 50 years Walter is a refreshing ray of sun. He is strong in every characteristic but he stands out in professionalism and integrity. He is highly organized and Volvo had better love him because it's maintenance coverage is spread thin. Who wants to have to drive or get towed to Indianapolis to Volvo for repairs??

Owner Howard was very helpful providing towing service after 10pm. Very kind and did a great job picking up and delivering a vehicle that could not start.

They were amazing! My car battery died and we couldn’t get it jumped. When we called for a tow, Bannon offered to try jumping it with their machine instead of the cables we were trying. It worked!! Very friendly and helpful. Also, very prompt. Came out as soon as they could and kept their word on time and promises. Thank you Bannon!!

This place is wonderful!! Such nice honest people. Not only did they help me unload my stuff, but they also pulled out the stuff that was worth more money so that I would get every dollar that I could out of my scrap metal. This is the only place that I would take my stuff!!

Will be sorry to see them close after providing service to Kokomo for almost 50 years. As the selling and scrapping of inventory begins I wish them a great retirement and thank them for their many years of service to the community.
