When you hear stories of shady auto companies this is definitely one of them. Purchased a used transfer case for a leak that I had, otherwise the 4 wheel worked just fine. Assistant told me he had plenty bought one for $150. I had it installed and immediately was grinding when I put it into four. Called them they said make sure the oil is full, paid another $100 to change fluids just in case. Still grinding. They said bring it down. Met Larry who took it for a spin. He said it could be anything including the flat bed, not truck tires, and some other bs excuses. Still they said they would replace it if it is the transfer case. Instead they removed the wheel balancers stating they thought that was the problem. Said it wasn't but wouldn't replace the transfer case said I should sell it (he probably was hoping to make another score of buying my truck). Cost me another $100 to rebalance the tires. They should change their name to UNAABLE CROOKS.

Larry, Owner, is an awesome mechanic who is thoughtful and generous. I more than highly recommend him and his daughter in the office was very friendly. Larry not only sells parts but cars too! After over a year of troubles with my car’s hood hinge plus needing to change the headlight bulb, I had spent a lot of time online looking for the part, left emails with auto parts place that didn’t return my email, drove to every Auto Parts place in my area and they said I would have to buy it from a dealer and the dealer’s price was unaffordable to me and very expensive. (I’m a woman who has been going to mechanics for decades and Larry outshines them all.)One Auto Parts man, Norman, had recommended that I call Larry (said that he was the most honest mechanic he knew). I called Mass Auto Recycling, Worcester, MA, and Larry answered. I told him I needed a hood hinge, told him I was referred, and told him the details. He said “that is dangerous; come to my place right now and I’ll fix it.” I live 40 minutes away, but jumped in my car and arriving at his business, there he was with a smile on his face, walked right over with tool and lubricant and started working on the car. He fixed it in under 10 minutes while he was telling why it failed and named a few cars that have this issue. He continued to check it, had me open and close it, and let me know that it was not a hinge problem but a latch problem. It won’t be long that I will need another car and I will be driving to Worcester to see Larry to buy one. (I also went back to the Auto Parts place to thank Norman and told him what happened.) Two great guys for sure.

The owner Larry was very helpful and had a used transmission for my 99 Ford Taurus and it works very well and at a very good price! If you are looking for something he would probably have it. He was very helpful.

Bought a 2001 Jeep Granche from the nicest gentleman. He was willing to meet me on my schedule, answered all of my questions honestly. She needed some exhaust work. We worked out a deal on that as a condition of purchase, which has not been a good idea in my experience. Let me tell you, the guy he knows who does exhaust work did a fantastic job. I know, I've crawled under and inspected it! It was more extensive than expected, but it was done completely and promptly, the welds are a work of art. I would absolutely do business here again.

Not a big auto salvage yard, but the customer service was excellent. The team there made my puchase go smoothly and I got a good bumper for my 2000 Monte Carlo at a good price. I would go there again.

I needed a part for an older vehicle.Noone I called had the time or courtesy to help. Someone told me try Larry at Mass Auto.He not only took the time to help me.He had the patience of a saint.Between the snow storms and my problems, he found the part,took it and put it aside.Also sent me a picture of it in working order.What a stand up guy!!!I know we're not talking thousands....or even hundreds of dollars.That's the whole point of customer service!!!!!
