I’ve been bringing my recycling here for a couple years now. Signs all say Ecology Recycling still.Parking is a free for all, so just fall in line with everyone else, but leave room for people to back out/exit. Fortunately, I’ve never had an issue with this. They have 3 different bins to fill: Very large basket type, typical 5 gallon red trash bins and then smaller yellow plastic bins. Large basket bins and red trash bins are all on wheels. They are all well used, but all do the job. (Wear gloves if you are concerned about dirtiness).Wow! New management has improved a lot. The parking area was fully replaced and it’s nice and smooth now. It used to be broken, crumbling asphalt with random trash/glass—no more!! It’s easier than ever to wheel your recycling around.Another review mentioned the bees but new management moved the trash cans further away from the bins and there were no bee’s this time. Could be the weather/season but now that they are in two different areas. Either way, the bee’s are looking for sugar from the canned sodas, so rinse them out if you don’t want to be bothered—which I’ve never been or heard of anyone getting stung. After sorting your recyclables into bins, simply bring them up to the scale. (There is only one!). Then wait in line, or step right up and let the worker weigh them out.Quick tip: new management also has coupons they are putting out via text message. If you want a little more money for your aluminum cans, that’s what they been doing them for.Overall, there are not a lot of options for recycling in the area but I’m glad Ecology

Terrible experience. The girl on the front desk is absolutely rude and disrespectful. Not only that, she tries to lowball you and has done it to other customers. I took 1,900LB worth of chains and she put on the receipt that it was only 500LBS and tried to pay me $25 for it all. Steel is worth 12 cents, not “3-4 cents”. Learn your metals first before you decide to get a job at a recycling center. Other than that, the workers out in the yard are helpful.

BE WARNED IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO BEES!My go-to place for recycling aluminum cans and plastic bottles. The staff is sometimes helpful, sometimes not. For example, my first time there, they waited until after I loaded all of the plastics into the bin to tell me I needed to separate the different color plastics. Also, there is an absurd amount of broken glass on the ground in the area where you need to park your vehicle. And there are tons of bees in the parking area as well, attracted to all the sugary aluminum soda cans.Otherwise, they offer pretty decent prices.

First time going there, was fast and easy, all personnel were very friendly and helpful. They offer you weekly online coupons wich can help you get more bucks for your recyclables. This is the spot to go! ♻️

The only problem is I don't walk out wth enough money. I like to see how many times they calibrate their scales a day or a week that I had a good amount of cans and in plastic and I walked out of there with three dollars and seventy cents.

The best payout for recyclables… the staff are friendly, maybe ask them how they are doing? You typically don’t get the nicest customers at a recycling place.

Love the baskets to recycle with, the space you can move around in and the friendly helpful service.

Though I've been recycling forever, I am relatively new to actually bringing recyclables to a center. I've tried to bring the stuff in myself to numerous different locations, but became convinced that rudeness, lack of help, and unsanitary conditions were systemic to the entire industry. Until I took my business to the fine folks at Ecology in Oceanside. Their level of service even outshines the Mercedes dealership I take my car to. The people their are simply fantastic. (Hey bossman...give everyone a raise!!!).

Luckily there were few people so I was in and out very quickly. I certainly had the smallest amount of plastic and others to recycle, but the staff were super helpful especially as my first time and not sure how to navigate. Will come back to this one with my next batch for sure!

WASTE OF TIME! DO NOT RECYCLE APPLIANCES! $15 for a dishwasher (we're told no cash for that), double ovens, regular oven, 2 BBQ's, BBQ Pit, Ducticting, cast iron pipes, microwave, basketball hoop, Patio chairs(8) , washer. We paid about $100 for the truck rental. Better off using city recycle curbside. Over 1000 pounds really $15.
