Pretty good visit this time. LKQ as a whole is not on my favorite list every since they've gotten rid of their rewards program (literally overnight) and increased their prices across the board at all locations.🤬 Lines aren't long here, but if you see something you want here don't wait too long if it is s higher end or rare vehicle.Don't forget to get the stock number or they won't let you check out now. You can find it online though, but you have to look at the vehicle on that specific location's site.

They are alright my boyfriend lost his wallet and nobody called us it didn't seem like they cared when I told the guy at the counter where u pay . I told him he worked hard for that money he laughed said everybody dies . That's not true at all .The 2 gentlemen in the front where u pay to go they were cool the one seemed really sincere genuine concern . And empathetic . But there was only one place he could've lost it. Under a van he was working on. It was all the way in the back. I just didn't like the general . Oh well attitude like well you know he's screwed basically . They could have helped more I think . Well I know . he had just cashed 2 paychecks. Kinda jacked . Wish there was more honest people around

Apparently they close at 5:45 pm and not 6:pm. This really annoyed me when I tried getting there as fast as I could on Saturday after working all day In Vista so I could get tires for my car and they didn't want to let me In at 550pm. And on the way home I got a flat tire. Update your hours on your website because I could've avoided the trip if I knew y'all weren't going to let me in

Having several cars that needed repairs and parts being so expensive, this auto salvage yard really saves you some money. The young men that work there are very friendly and helpful. The selection of auto is rather slim and the vehicles have been picked over. Bring your own tools and the yard is rather large, so plan on doing some walking. It cost $3 to get in and parts are priced after you've removed them. So the price may not be what you want to pay for the part. All that work removing the part only to find out it's more than you can afford

This place is fun and cheap with that being said I like being able to practice working on cars while I'm there and also finding Parts I need for minimal prices compared to paying for parts and labor at a shop make sure you bring your own tools

DONT'T PAY EXTRA FOR WARRANTY, AND DON'T LET CASHIERS TELL YOU IT'S MANDATORY. IV'E BEEN TOLD THIS A FEW TIMES NOW. Been flipping cars 20 years, last few years this yard just gets more frustrating regarding cashiers. You are given a price online, and it's a different price at the yard. I ask why and am being told that I have a different part. (???) So I ask others around me, and a few yard employees and they agree that the part I have is what I'm saying it is..... Cashier just didn't want to admit she's wrong; So I pay extra.. The only reason I pay is didn't want to wait for shipping times on part I could of bought new at just a few bucks more online. The added price I am mentioning here is just the price, just want to make that clear because lately I am hit with additional fee's that I didn't ask for when purchasing at the Oceanside yard. Things like automatic warranty on everything priced. I have to state that I don't want the warranty, etc.. I feel like I'm going into battle just to be a customer. Seriously bought some plastic interior pieces next thing you know I having stickers and paint pen writing put on them at checkout, didn't want a warranty on that stuff. That was long ago I don't let them do it anymore, but I see people in line everytime getting treated like that and paying extra, tempted to say something at the time but don't, figured finally say it here.

Bought a K24A1 for $300, they helped me get it into my car. They also can look up inventory for you, so you can find what you need. Bring your own tools, recommendation a socket set, screw drivers and and impact is useful as well.

I was able to find 6 vehicles compatible with my 99 Jetta. I didn't have enough time or energy to get everything I wanted. I guess I'll be going back soon.

It's true, the woman at the cash counter hates life and as all about sharing that with you via her poor attitude. This dreamy place consists of mostly overpicked old jalopies and beater cars. You're lucky to find the car you're looking for, and even luckier if the part you need is still there. It's like an elephant graveyard out there. Yet, somehow, they've successfully made a business out of selling this third grade junk for very high prices. Two plastic air vents, two little weatherstrips and a light = $40? Nope. After trudging through the dirty, hot, and chemically saturated isles of dirt and sand between the rows of cars, and then pulling the parts yourself, I'd be willing too pay $10 for the lot. And no more. And this is all after you pay to enter. Just saying. Next time I'll be heading out of the city and east to the lands of scrapyards and junked cars. Where there is such thing as compitition, and where yards have the first dibs in fresh wrecks and newer selections.

Great place to find parts for your older vehicles if you don't mind them used, having to disassemble and find yourself. $3 entry fee, but parts are priced very reasonable. You should know what you're looking for and should be able to test on-site if needed. Although they do offer a 30 day guarantee and optional (for a price) 90 day I believe. I have found parts here for my vehicles that are a fraction of new or used from other dismantlers online or in house. Best to use their website to give your an idea if they have what you're looking for and vehicle location on the lot.
