Really happy with the staff members. Very nice and polite. Specially mention to Jesse, so nice, so honest, a very good person and I can tell a hard worker, thank you so much.💞🙏🏻 For the price of the parts not to happy but it is what it is. At least has some guaranty 👍🏻

Worst experience I’ve ever had. I called them on Friday and they said they could pick up my car Sunday between 1pm and 3pm. I called at 3pm after no one had showed up and the guy told me they would for sure pick it up before closing at 5pm. I never got call apologizing or letting me know they couldn’t come. I wasted almost all my day waiting for them.

Been to the Oceanside location several times and never had a bad experience. Do your homework on parts pricing before you go. There are still bargains to be had in these lots.

I never post anything but with my experience today 9/15/2023 , I have to make this post publicly to help others. First of all just to enter the junkyard you have to pay a $3.00 fee, so I checked their website for a 2010 Toyota Corolla, which the website says they have 2 of the 2010 Toyota Corolla available a white one and a silver one. The white one shows heavily front end damage and the silver one shows in good shape to include the hood which is what I told them that I was looking for. So I was told where the car was located at which was correct but when I got there the silver Toyota Corolla had no front end at all so I took a picture of the car so that they could update their inventory and they refused to update their inventory, I was just trying to help them so that people going in would not be deceived but it seemed to me that that’s the way they trick or con people into paying for something that was probably taken off months or weeks before you get there so I was very disappointed by the scam that this place is running so if there’s a way to report this establishment to the better business bureau please help, I posted a picture so that you can see the complete front end and hood that in their website says that is there

Will not recommend this location. I just went there and the long haired guy tried to charge me $400 for a used valve bracket which is $200 brand new online, so I went to the riverside location and spent $25.00 for the exact part.

It's true, the woman at the cash counter hates life and as all about sharing that with you via her poor attitude. This dreamy place consists of mostly overpicked old jalopies and beater cars. You're lucky to find the car you're looking for, and even luckier if the part you need is still there. It's like an elephant graveyard out there. Yet, somehow, they've successfully made a business out of selling this third grade junk for very high prices. Two plastic air vents, two little weatherstrips and a light = $40? Nope. After trudging through the dirty, hot, and chemically saturated isles of dirt and sand between the rows of cars, and then pulling the parts yourself, I'd be willing too pay $10 for the lot. And no more. And this is all after you pay to enter. Just saying. Next time I'll be heading out of the city and east to the lands of scrapyards and junked cars. Where there is such thing as compitition, and where yards have the first dibs in fresh wrecks and newer selections.

Last weekend I went there 2 days and spent $15 on entry fees for me and my buddies. The vehicles that they showed online in Oceanside said that the parts would match my vehicle. Come to find out neither one of the parts matched what I had and I tried to return both parts. So they give you 2 receipts a gate receipt and a window receipt and I was somehow missing one of them and they are identical receipts. Right now I am in battle with John from corporate in LA and waiting for his phone call so I can get my money back on the window receipt that I have. 3 days ago it was supposed to be turned into a manager and they were supposed to contact me. I had to call them once again and they said they were going to send out another email. As of today I still have the receipt for the part the sticker on the part and they will not refund my money as of today. Was on hold for 25 minutes to tell me that they were going to call John. John I guess is the district manager of California so we'll see if he returns my call. So the memorial of the story is, do not misplace your gate receipt because the regular employees stick to their protocol. John the district manager did get in touch with me and I did get a full refund today from the Oceanside wrecking yard. Martin is the one that handled my receipt and everybody was very polite at the front. Also if you know the part you are looking for, that will help out immensely before you get to the yard. I highly recommend LKQ in Oceanside.

They lie. Don’t trust them. Because of them paying a storage fee because they lied that they can pick up the car in 2 days now they don’t have a tow truck

This place sucks. If you can get through the maze of homeless people to find the entrance to this cesspool, expect to pay $5.00 just to go look for your part. Don't expect any help or friendliness from the staff either. Oh, and bring a nose plug...you'll need it upon arrival.

Worst experience ever. Paid 5 dollars a head to walk around and not find the parts we needed. Whatever that happens. But when we found some extras and wanted to check out the cashiers were on lunch and break with signs in the windows. Like you guys can't alternate your breaks? Make your customers wait up to an hour to buy some second-hand over priced merchandise? How the hell is this place still in business? Side note when you finally get to talk to the cashier these dirty used broken parts are twice as much as a new one online. Long gone are the charming days of going to the junkyard and finding what you need at a bargain price. F this place.

Nice place but sure has gone up in price, then again hasn't everything in Cali? The mini skid row out front is new to me, makes me sad that our country allows this cuz we are too busy sticking our noses into other countries business.

The yard is very organized, but the prices are a little high. They got me on the warranty charge. Had I known about the option to decline I would have done so. Also the prices they charge are set non negotiable. They should charge on the condition of the parts.

$5 Dollar entrance fee. Asked for assistance and it wasn’t all that good. Walking This lot would be akin to walking the yard at a local jail. They got some characters here. Not returning.

They've always done what they say they'll do. Mostly there are good parts for a car that's just messed up in other places that yours is already. My headliner sucked but my engine runs, they're Subarus had broken engines, and good headliners, so I got a new headliner. It worked out

Pricing is ridiculous. To start, you must pay $5 dlls to enter the yard. The part prices were the same regardless which car you took it from; now the price varies per car, year, model, left side or right side. I been shopping here for years , but they are pushing customers away.

The website says $22 for a plastic intake tube and $35 for the intake air box. No filter. They tried to charge me $95 for them. Subaru parts online charges $89 for the assembly new. They don’t even honor their own websites prices.

Horrible experience!I went to the Oceanside location for a module I need for my truck. I went in, paid the admission fee and looked for and found the part I needed. Then I went to the cashier's window to pay for the part. No one was there to take my payment and when I asked if there was someone available I was told that the cashiers were on lunch and they'd be back in 45 minutes. I couldn't believe this! So I decided to leave the place and asked the guy at the entrance to refund me the admission fee. He said: "Sorry, we can't do that." What kind of business does this? This people have no regard for the customers that keep their business open and feeds their employees. As for me, this was the last time I set foot in this joint. This was robbery and a total waste of time. F#$@&* them!!

They’re pleasant on the phone, but, ultimately, they don’t keep their promised schedules. I should have read the reviews before making the first appointment for them to pick up my car; I would have seen how many problems they have keeping their word. Both times I was promised my appointment was secured. I rearranged my work schedule twice, confirmed my appointment the day before the appointment, twice, and was stood up, twice. The last time was this morning. Five days ago I was told that today’s appointment was CONFIRMED because they had to reschedule it. No one showed. No answered my nine phone calls prior to 9:00am (pu was scheduled between 7am-9am). I finally got hold of a manager, Mimi, who said she would file a complaint and have the yard contact me directly. I’ll come back to review the results, if any, from their follow up. I did just receive a call from their dispatch, Sheila. She has promised to be here this Wednesday between 7am - 9am. I’ll come back and edit my review on Wednesday.

Hope you never have to call these people. I called to ask why "windows" weren't listed on their price list. The answer? "Not all cars have windows". OK. So I told her I was there 2 weeks ago and all the cars had windows. So she said "Well you'll have to go there to find out if they are for sale". These people really don't want you to contact them. If you don't live within 20 mins then you're rolling the dice.

Just want to say to be careful when paying for your parts. They will add the warranty to your total without asking you. You need to tell them before you pay. They should have signs up that say to ask for warranty. The guy at the the gate said most people know, I didn't know.

Great place to find parts for your older vehicles if you don't mind them used, having to disassemble and find yourself. $3 entry fee, but parts are priced very reasonable. You should know what you're looking for and should be able to test on-site if needed. Although they do offer a 30 day guarantee and optional (for a price) 90 day I believe. I have found parts here for my vehicles that are a fraction of new or used from other dismantlers online or in house. Best to use their website to give your an idea if they have what you're looking for and vehicle location on the lot.

Beware this company will charge you for a warranty. They don't even bother asking you if you want it or not. When you go up to pay for your item be sure to say that you don't want a warranty otherwise you'll get screwed. This is their biggest scam.

They quoted me a price for my car, when the driver showed up he said it should have 3 cats, only has one. Price reduced by $350 I felt like I got scammed with a bait and switch. I should have just donated it and written it off. P.S. the car should only have one cat, there is no model of my car that has 3, and they had the VIN and looked up exactly what it was, so the 3 cat story was either a system error or blatant lie.

Hi All, Came to this LKQ location this morning. These are the concerns I have. 1) Not enough wheelbarrows to carry heavier parts around. I asked one of the yard workers, he didn't know what a wheelbarrow was (in English). 2) Some rows of vehicles are labeled correctly, some aren't. Some random vehicles are scattered about, also not labeled correctly. Very confusing. Myself along with all the other paying customers are charged an Environmental Fee. IMO, we as a whole are not getting our monies worth. 3) Waiting time at the cashier was absolutely ridiculous. Only 1 person working with 7/8 people in line. 4) I have been to over 30 LKQ locations. I am retired military, 24 years. First time today I WAS NOT given a military discount. EVERY other location has and was glad to do it. Acting manager told me I can't buy parts for other people and get them at a discounted price. How do they know which parts are which. That absolutely makes no sense. Unacceptable! 5) Young male Cashier there is not consistent. Asks some people for stock numbers, some no. Made the gentleman behind me walk back into the yard to get a stock number for a part. Yet did not ask me for one. Also cashier wasn't wearing a company shirt. Not representing LKQ very well. IMO was rude as well. Doesn't know how to respect his elders. 6) The pushing of the warranty is not acceptable. They should ask each customer if they want it. Not try to pull one over on customers.Very shady. Maybe an engine or transmission, but HUBCAPS???Unacceptable! 7) Not giving me a discount today was embarrassing. I commented to a few customers behind me as well. I spend a large amount of money with LKQ, I deserve better, just as the rest of the customers do. I will be calling the LKQ Corporate Office on Monday, thanks for listening. DG

They should said that they closed at 4:50pm because I got there for a return and they told me that it was closed. Also their staff members should have more training because the told me that some of my item I have to return them back to Chula Vista Yunk Car. They just don't want to deal with the paperwork they suppose to deal until the end of their shift.

Having several cars that needed repairs and parts being so expensive, this auto salvage yard really saves you some money. The young men that work there are very friendly and helpful. The selection of auto is rather slim and the vehicles have been picked over. Bring your own tools and the yard is rather large, so plan on doing some walking. It cost $3 to get in and parts are priced after you've removed them. So the price may not be what you want to pay for the part. All that work removing the part only to find out it's more than you can afford

This place is a complete rip off they charge more for parts here than they are new. I have been here 3 times and each time the used part was more than new parts. They wanted 4 times the price of a new roof rack. They wanted the same price for a used tire as it cost for a new one. It maybe there just racists against White's. So if your white you won't get any deals here. I say this cause the roof rack they quoted me $200 I had to put back. A Hispanic gentleman outside heard me went in an got it for $25 and paid him for it. My wife went in thinking I miss understood show the receipt and they ask her if she was with that white gentleman. She said yes they tried to charge her more or take our part away from us. Very racists people here.
