    I called the store at 8pm and inquired about a part, and were told they close at nine but that the part could be picked up the following day after work at 230pm. Upon arriving at the store at 11am(sent my parents to grab it) they were told that there’s only a 12 hour hold policy and they don’t have the part anymore. So if you’re not open during this 12 hour holding period how pray tell do you go about picking up items? Do better Auto Zone!

    Still not sure how THEY ASK WHAT YOU DRIVE, but then when you start your repairs you have to go SOMEWHERE ELSE because they sold you parts to a TOTALLY different car... which of which DOESN'T even sound similar...

    They have just about everything you need, from batteries to washer fluid. They also offer tool rentals, but I recommend calling ahead to see if they have the tool you're looking for because they didn't have an impact wrench at this location.

    The current parts manager at the Herkimer Auto Zone just told my elderly mom: "Don't get cocky with me mam." Right after she pointed out that her vehicle was already on his computer screen after he kept asking her what her vehicle was.

    Christmas Eve, 2019, I'm driving from New Mexico to Maine. My alternator deicides that 4:30PM is a good time to die (with no warning light coming on ahead of time). The 2 gentlemen working there helped me first determine it was the alternator, not the battery. They had one in stock, but then totally went the extra mile by tracking down a mechanic who was willing to install it on Christmas Eve. We were delayed by a few hours, but aside from that we made it to Maine without incident, just a little later than expected. These guys didn't just help me with my car, they saved my Christmas holiday.
