We brought our car in to get the air conditioning fixed on July 14 which was a Wednesday. They told us that they’d hopefully have it done by Friday but if not, he would call to let us know and we could pick it up because if not we’d have to wait as they are closed on the weekends and were for the following week. We thought we’ll ok that’s fine. We never heard from them and once it reached the second week we tried calling them multiple times without ever getting an answer.I guess they’d been doing a taco sell out front during that time. They finally called today on the second of the next month saying that the car has been done and that they had been trying to call us. When we told them that we hadn’t gotten any calls they said “ our line might need repaired, your not the first to tell us that” but then later when we went in to get the car and asked for a discount the man got grumpy and said “we’ll we tried calling you too” even though he’d previously said that they’re lines weren’t working. The cost ended up being way more than previously discussed and only got down to the original price because of a reluctant discount. He then informed he tore out the cabin air filter and had just thrown it on the ground. He handed me a new one and rudely said I’m not putting it in for you. So we had to do it, and back the car out of their place ourselves. Super un friendly, not reliable, just a bad and long experience.Service: Air conditioning

They were wonderful! I pulled in running rough just before closing time. I was in my camper and Lucerne does not have motel or hotel within 15 miles...so I asked if they would mind if I stayed in my vehicle over night on the back of their lot. They were awesome and obliged. They started looking at my vehicle right at opening and within 2 hours they had my problem determined and fixed. I was beyond grateful and promised them a raving review for taking care of my dilemma so swiftly. And they explained my situation and a repair that should be done eventually. By no means did they suggest they were trying to fix something that didn't exist. It was related to the problem but they were more than open about ring able to fix it temporarily to get me by safely. They were courteous, friendly and went above and beyond for me☺️ Plus the Cafe 247 people were very kind too (even though they're Trump supporters 😉)

I've taken my car there several times for different repairs or oil changes...they always quote a price before they do the job...and have never tried to charge me more...and the time estimate to do a job...is always accurate...Im taking my truck there tomorrow to have 4 tires mounted...I really appreciate having a good mechanic shop in Lucerne ValleyServices: Oil change, Air conditioning

I usually like to try a business a couple of times before I really give a review, however I don't really see me using Candelas a second time. This is not a bad review this is only going to be a detailed description of my experience. I brought my vehicle in for something I knew what was wrong. I was charged $80 for him to tell me what I knew was wrong. But if I have him do it, $80 comes off the price. I was told to bring my car back at a later time to have the work done, so I called at 8am the day I wanted to bring it and left a message nobody ever returned it. I took my vehicle in at 9 a.m. and was told he could not do it that day so my vehicle would have to stay overnight, I told him I was disabled so I didn't want my vehicle left somewhere overnight. So then when I was able to bring my vehicle in he did the work. But then he told me the part he replaced was not the only thing wrong with the vehicle. The other part that my vehicle needed was a specialty part and would be very expensive but he was having trouble locating it. I took the vehicle home I called AutoZone and found the part for less than $30. To me a $80 diagnostic should have included actually checking it out to let me know everything that would need to be done, such as checking the AC compressor to make sure it was bad and not just the switch. Instead of replacing the blower motor for $250 and then telling me the switch is bad. Just leads me to wonder if the motor was bad to begin with and not just the switch.

UPDATE, THE OWNER LIED AND STILL HAVENT FIXED MY AC AND MY ENGINE THAT THEY REBUILT IS NOW HAVING ISSUES, SCAM ARTIST UNLESS PROVEN OTHERWISE, TRIED CONTACTING AND FLAT OUT IGNORED MEI blew the engine in my car and took it to them, there was a rod knock failure. They had my car for a couple months which is okay I understand but then i get my vehicle back and get in my car and turn on the AC because its hot in the desert and its not working, so i go to them and asked what happened and they said the car was like that when they got it, they said it was in an accident before they got it because my front bumpers messed up trying to cover up that they broke it, when i told him no it wasnt the mechanic got mad and basically told me i didnt know what I was talking about. So basically the broke my ac lines and they will not take fault. When my father dropped it off to them he had the ac going so things just dont add up. I would not recommend because they did not fix what they broke. The work on the engine rebuild seems to be quality although.Service: Auto engine diagnostic
