I've had Casella as my garbage pickup for over a year. They used to pick up trash and recycling weekly. Then they reduced recycling to once every two weeks, but they are still charging the same. At least once a month I have to call in because the drivers didn't pick up my trash or my recycling. My time is wasted making sure they are doing what I'm paying them for... meanwhile, if you put your trash out even a minute late, it's tough luck for you and they'll get it next week... unless they don't and I have to call in again to get them to pick it up.It's the worst waste management service I've ever had in my life.

I called three times to inquire about setting up trash pickup after moving into a new place. Every time I called they said they would get back to me in the next week or two. I waited three weeks after each call. Stopped trying after the third.

I own a local business and can’t express how disrespectful these people are. Waited all day after calling twice to speak a supervisor but apparently lunch was more important than us. Well that 10 AM and then again at 1 PM told the same thing now it’s the end of the week. Really bizarre why this company treats their customers this way when we pay them. All I wanted to do was speak with somebody and express my displeasure and how we can possibly fix and salvage this terrible big business relationship because I do not like having bad relationships with local businesses it’s not the way we work. Sad to say but from what they have shown us, no one should work with these people

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!June 18 we called Casella after 3 years of service stating we will be moving from our rental to our new home on July 12. We asked for a final pick up and bill and for them to transfer our cans. They would not transfer the cans. So we asked for a final pick up and we would transfer our cans. June 27 was a normal pick up day.... no Pick up. We called and they apologized saying they would send out a truck the next day. Still no pick up. Third phone call, still no pick up. July 11 was another normal pick up day. No pick up - 4th phone call, apology, they would send a truck. We moved our home July 12. July 19th 5th phone call, no pick up for us to move our bins (mind you account is paid). July 25 still no pick up, 6th phone call, they will send someone out today. July 26 still no pick up, 6th phone call, they will send someone out today. We cancelled our services with them all together and went with Myers Trash services. Aug 1 No pick up at old apartment, called, "We've already picked up cans". Verified that cans were NOT picked up and they will send someone out. Aug 5, No pick up, maggots running out of trash cans, "we will send someone to pick it up" . Aug 6th. A Phone call, cant find account... then after much debate, found account and said that she will look into it. Later that day, a phone call back from them, "the cans have been collected yesterday, you're all set." I drove to old apartment, and there sat the cans with maggots. I called again with a threat of legal action on an account that is paid in full, and trash has been sitting outside for pick up since June 27, and can removal as of July 26th. Still pending a pick up at this time and at 5pm will pursue legal action.DO NOT USE THESE SERVICES. After 12 years of my business, I'm blown away at the lack of competence with their staff and care for their clients.

Customer service is very helpful and friendly; they gladly rescheduled a pickup when I forgot to put out my trash. I called in the late afternoon of the next week to check on the pickup and the representative took the time to try and contact the driver to double check!

They charge people differently for the same service. My sister pays less tha I do. When questioned they state it is because we have different plans. Have had a broken container that doesn’t shut and makes it impossible to wheel to the curb. I have flies and maggots and hurt my back. Have called repeatedly to have it replaced. Done with this horrible customer service.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANYAs a local business is pains me to write a review of another like this...Zero customer care, no reliability at with pick ups except that they will show up maybe half the time. I don't know what's going on in this company, they are not ere to service the community. just themselves

Seriously, Tiffany, don’t Treat people like they’re stupid for calling for information and prices. I hung up while on hold and will call someone else for trash service. Tiffany in customer service needs to treat people better

The Montpelier location pricing is terrible!!Prices are all over the place.One week, you pay $6.50 for a couple of bags of trash and the following week you pay $9.00.Solution: Take your trash to the local guy that charges $3 a bag.
