I have lived here no for over 3 years. The first few pickups didn't go well, but the house had been empty for well over a year. But from that point on I have had no problems at all. Can almost know the time by when my guy is coming. Just happy I don't have to run to the dump!!!

I am very satisfied with CGGG! Having their service I don't need to make a trip to the dump! I don't like DOXO, I'd rather they return to the old way.

I am not sure what the issue is that they don’t pick up my garbage. I have called and complained. I was told the garbage will be pick up the next day, but it didn’t. Today, they skipped my garbage again. Just took the recycle. I am paying on time so and I would like to know what the problem is.

The lady at the front desk was nice to me and accidentally charged me less for the 1st month which she said, "It's my fault so I'm not raising the price after you already wrote the check." She did give me a really dirty can to take home and it still smells of horse manure almost a year later!That said, the garbage collector is always prompt and does a good job. Nobody told me anything about recycling however. I saw my neighbors putting out cardboard so I do that. I'm not sure what to do with GLASS. It's not their fault that NOBODY takes plastic anymore.The fee PER MONTH is $23.45 for a smaller can. That equals about $5.80 FOR EACH CAN! It's not their fault, apparently, as the transfer station keeps raising the rate too!

I am so surprised at the negative reviews. I have had nothing but good & friendly service. The guys who are out collecting the trash have been friendly on the rare occasion I see them & Claudia in the office is such a kind & helpful lady.

The guys that come to pick up the recycling are friendly, which is the only reason I didn’t give only one star. Otherwise customer service is terrible, and if you happen to leave a piece of plastic in your recycle bin they’re not allowed to even touch any of it. Unfortunately, there is no other garbage service in Cottage Grove, and the only other option is to haul your own garbage off to the dump.

I think they're great. especially the recycling people. I will have extra stuff and put it in a cardboard box that practically fills the sidewalk and they always take it. One time someone even hit my can with their car and kept driving!! I was hustling to pick it up since the garbage men were just up the street. He got out and told me not to worry about it and cleaned it up for me. Also came back with a new can since my wheel had snapped off!! Thank you all for all you do!! It's a dirty job ;)

I sincerely wish we had another option for garbage service in Cottage Grove. The staff, especially the lady in charge in the office (don't know her name), is rude and abrupt. The drivers have failed to empty my garbage can several weeks in a row, or only emptied it halfway. I don't understand how they manage to only empty half of the garbage when it's mechanized. They have also taken the cardboard box of recycling and left the recycling bin full of recyclables with some of it strewn all over my driveway. If there was a way to give Cottage Grove Garbage Service fewer than one star I would do it!

J - that's all great to "follow directions" however, there are no containers nor instructions for yard debris or separate glass. I was told to just put the glass beside the container..."in the street" - really? Other services have yard debris bins (if it grows-it goes), container for glass (must be clean and not broken), Bin for paper, plastic (no lids) cardboard etc., and one bin for garbage. It is a luxury to be able to have someone pick this stuff up, but It was more comfortable to be able to put everything in separate containers especially for glass and yard debris.

I just moved into my house....I had to give my current mailing address of my previous address. Then I gave them my new address which I was going to be living. I never got a bill. Go to ask why I hadn't got my bill? They were sending it to my old address. I tell the lady I need to change it to my current address so I can pay it and know when it it's due. She tells me she will take care of it. It has been over a month and I still haven't received a bill. I called today to check to see if their was a problem? The lady never changed it when I went in to see what was wrong and change my billing address. What was the worst part is when I called to ask, the lady on the phone acted like it was my fault. She was rude, and never apologized. If I didn't need the service, or had a truck or time. I would recommend doing it yourself.
