Don't even waste your time or money anywhere else! For meticulous and honest auto repair you can't beat Doc's. David, the mechanic was thorough and honest while fixing my truck. He old have told me anything and charged me more but he didn't and fixed my truck quickly and at an excellent price. Thank you so much!!! Driving from Alpine, TX to home and got a flat. Wasn’t able to get the spare to drop down so limped into town after all the shops were closed for the day. Hotel concierge gave me his number. Called at 7:30 AM and asked for a service call.Service and price was excellent. He came changed out my tire then I followed him back to his shop. He repaired and put it back on, aired up all the tires on my truck, the auto dolly, and niece’s truck we were towing. He checked all the fluids too.Service: Tires

Doc was amazing helped us out with my sons truck. His ball bearing broke on our way to take him to college in San Antonio and he was quick to tow the truck back to town and turn around and have it fixed within a day so we could pick it up and take it back to my son before we left him there and traveled back home to Abilene and then New Mexico. He let us know that if my son needed anything we could call him and he would help us out best he could. Awesome service and reasonable prices!!!

I was in Fredericksburg from out of town but needed a small repair to get me home. Doc fixed it quickly, charged a reasonable price, and was very friendly! He even aired my tires and checked my fluids. I highly recommend this repair shop.

IF YOU ARE BROKEN DOWN AND GOOGLING NEARBY AUTO SHOPS, YOU HAVE FOUND THE ONE! I have never had an experience like I had with Doc’s. I am from Houston and broke down in nearby Johnson City. I was stranded four hours from home and had no idea what was wrong. Doc’s did everything they could to get me home ASAP, which in my case was the next day. Then, three days later, they followed up with me to make sure I made it home safe. Also, I rarely review, this was important to me 🙃

Hands down the best auto repair experience I have ever had. Doc, Dave, and the entire staff are the most welcoming, helpful, and honest people you will ever meet. My husband and I were in town for the weekend when our 2013 Kia Sportage started making a very concerning noise. Of course this was a Sunday afternoon right before we were headed out of town and nothing in Fredericksburg was open. We stayed an extra night and ended up at Docs at 7:30am the next morning. He already had the shop opened and promised to do his best to help us out. We had to leave the vehicle and head back to Houston, but doc kept us informed every step of the way. We ended up with a very costly issue (full engine replacement) and Doc was honest that the repair wouldn’t be worth it. He worked with us to find alternate solutions and even let us keep the car at the shop while we tried to figure out what we were going to do from 200+ miles away. At the end of the day, we have been working with Doc and his staff for over two weeks, and they only charged us a minuscule amount for their due diligence. I could not recommend these folks any higher, they are truly the friendliest and most helpful people around!

So that was hands down the best service I have ever received. Doc was in early for my 730 out of the blue arrival after running into some mechanical issues on my drive back to Ca. Doc had me sorted out extremely fast and at a great price too! Doc is the man. Honest and friendly - can't ask for much more than that! Many thanks Doc!!!!

An excellent job from being towed, getting the estimate and repairs. I was traveling with my elderly Mom and we broke down near Fredericksburg. Doc’s went the extra mile with a speedy repair and even gave us a ride to and from a the hotel room we got for the night.

My pickup blew a transmission hose and was billowing smoke from fluid on the engine late Friday afternoon at 4:30. I called Doc's and was pleasantly greeted on the phone. Within an hour they had towed my truck to the shop and said be there Monday morning to authorize the repairs. Come Monday morning I was there 30 minutes after they opened. The shop was already full of cars and trucks being repaired and his crew of mechanics made the place look like a bee hive. People had been lined up before opening time wanting to get in line but my truck was already in bay #4 ready to be repaired. Doc quizzed me about the break down and I could tell from his questions he was already diagnosing the problem and knew just where to begin.Six hours later my truck was ready with new transmission hoses, trans fluid fluid, and Doc went the extra step and installed a new drive belt that was aging (150,000K) just to save me from another break down. It is obvious Doc takes a personal interest in the well being of his customers and looks out for their safety. The bill was entirely fair, and the truck runs better than ever. Thanks Doc!
