The phone.number listed is for the Winter Springs location and not Cocoa! When I called the number listed I got the pricing for the Winter Srings location. So of course the the price I was told on the phone is not the same price as Cocoa location. Lost about 62.00 on that one unless I wanted to go and dig out my scrap.Would have saved me gas, time and money if the phone number had been correct!!

Great people, and great place to scrap!! Only thing is the owner doesn't think much about the equipment the crew uses cause it's out dated and needs repair.

It's a little confusing the way it's set up, especially for people who've never been there before. The employees were however very pleasant.

It was our 1st time coming here and and it was almost closing time. But they still took us and was very friendly. Kim up front was a sweetheart and kind. And for it being late the wonderful Mr. Flintstone still took a little time to educate my husband on how they do things to be a little more prepared and organized for next time but also showed him how to get more money out of our scrap. Like he said "hey this is your money". DEFINITELY WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE for anyone looking to make a little money for there scrap!!!.. (FYI they pay decent and closes at 6pm not 4 like most places)

This place is great. All the staff are nice, except for that mean chic at the little aluminum and copper scale.

Best place for my personal scrap recycling needs.Team members are the naturally friendly locals that one expects to find at any Central Florida Recycling Center. Highly Efficient process, knowledgeable staff, fair prices, and plenty of room to maneuver trucks and trailers.I personally come out of my way, even with the high cost of fuel, to do business with Dominion Recycling. I like the employees, most of whom have worked there for years; they are people who you get to know and appreciate, same goes for the local scrappers. (I miss Roy).Anyway, please make sure that if you are planning to clean your copper, aluminum, etc... that you do so off the premises. Strip all semiprecious metals down as much as possible, and do not haggle with the employees. When people do this, it slows down the process for everyone. Recycling guidelines are not going to change just because you say you're sorry that you forgot to remove a couple of screws in your aluminum and you don't get full price. If you have questions, ask.I found that the staff who answers the phone at Dominion Recycling are incredibly helpful and they will tell you straight up what to do if you have any questions regarding cleaning your metal properly.Speaking from first hand experience, vehicles are accepted for recycling, but only with a clean title search, which you can call ahead with the vin number beforehand (as in No leins, etc ).You must have ID and arrive here in a registered and insured motor vehicle in order to recycle with Dominion. If you have never been here before, you must register first with a valid State ID/driver's license and you will be assigned a number. Memorize this number if you plan to recycle often.Watch where you drive your vehicle, it's a scrap yard, there are sharp metal bits that can and will puncture balding tires, driver beware. Seems like common sense, but nonetheless...Any questions? Call ahead. You may have to be placed on hold for a minute if you have a question that is not immediately known by whomever answers the phone... but I guarantee that they will find an answer for you to virtually any scrapping/recycling related questions you may have.Keep in mind that they are very busy during early morning, lunch time, and before closing. There are only so many employees, so if you are in a rush, you might want to come during lag hours because you just might have to wait your turn, just like everyone else. This place does get crowded at times, especially of the prices of certain metals has risen exponentially.Patience testing situation experienced at Dominion about 3 years ago: I once had the misfortune of getting stuck behind a loaded outbound scrap metal tractor trailer and 1 other randomly parked vehicles during an especially busy and sweltering summer day. I had to wait for the forklift operators to finish wrapping the semi truck in plastic mesh [for road safety] for some time, no problem. The other rather large and irregularly parked vehicle blocking the exit belonged to an irate and rather rude man, who was obviously new to the whole scrapping business and was desperately trying to justify his dirty scrap and demand the higher price for clean scrap, (and otherwise being borderline threatening towards staff). I ended up getting off the property after the forklift operators were done wrapping the semi about 15 min later.DOMINION Recycling Center accepts, processes, condenses, and transports an astronomical amount of recycled metal, which gets repurposed instead of going to the dump... so please be patient. Honking at the big rig is not going to get it to move any faster. Being rude to the super helpful people who work here is not going to tip the scales in your favor, please be courteous. Thanks for reading my diatribe.Oh! Just a word to the wise: I forgot to mention that recycling is considered a source of income and if you earn over a certain amount a year from recycling, it should be included in your annual income taxes, especially if you are a 1099 contractor/self-employed. Just a thought. ♻️

I am from Maryland, and surprisingly enjoy scrapping when on vacation as well. I read the reviews about a year ago, including the negative ones and found them to be false. I was happy with how pleasant everyone was. Of course this time down read the new reviews about the lady in the non ferrous area being not pleasant, cheap, etc...once again found those reviews to be completely false. She was very nice, even helped me with some tools in getting some remaining bolts off an item, and priced what was deserved. Every experience has been great here.
