LKQ offers an extensive nationwide inventory of recycled OE automotive and truck parts. LKQ stocks more clean high-quality recycled OE auto parts than any other auto parts company. All parts are carefully dismantled in one of LKQ's state-of-the-art dismantling plants.LKQ buys used and total loss salvage vehicles from auctions and direct from insurers, manufacturers, fleets and individuals. Many are collision-damaged, but still have usable, unaffected parts which LKQ then inspects, dismantles, cleans and tests.LKQ focuses on late model, low mileage vehicles that represent the vehicle population currently on the road, including both foreign and domestic vehicles.

Thomas Wells is an employee at this place and harrases people online on Facebook and is representing this company wrong. Promoting this store and then harassing people is not right. I would have a chat with him because it makes people not respect this place. If you can fix this problem I’ll fix the review. Thanks.

Going to LKQ is certainly hit or miss. There are times when it is easy I get what I need and I get on the road and then there are times when it is a complete headache and the staff is less than helpful. Typically they have what I need. The office workers could use a little help with their people skills.

I represent ASAP Repair of Rupert Idaho. We have been a customer of LKQ of Eastern Idaho for years. Recently, we ordered a used engine from LKQ and they claimed that each cylinder was tested at 170 lbs of compression. We went ahead and trusted this claim and installed the engine, a 20 hour job and when we started the engine, we found one cylinder completely dead and the other 7 cylinders were tested at 140 lbs of compression. Clearly, this engine was not tested when it left their facility. They shipped us another engine, but when we asked to be reimbursed for the labor, they said there was nothing that could be done because we had not purchased the extended warranty and "that is the risk you take when you buy a used engine". Why should we have to purchase an extended warranty to be covered on an engine that never worked in the first place? We understand the risk of installing used engines, because we've installed hundreds of used engines in the past. This is my warning to you: DO NOT take LKQ's word for the condition of their parts. DO NOT install without testing your self because they will not work with you, even if you have been a loyal customer in the past.
