I wish I could give this company 0 stars. This company is a joke and NOT a professional business. My boyfriend was clipped by the garbage truck while on our property. Immediately we tried to get the drivers attention for help, instead he drove off and left us yelling for him. Within 10 minutes we contacted the company to file a complaint. The insurance company they use is even more unprofessional. They have tried to lie about the incident and withhold footage from us. They refuse to take responsibility, Monterey disposal is trying to cover up a hit and run. They tried offering money to quiet us and make this go away, the amount offered is not even enough to cover medical bills due to the accident this company is responsible for. We have tried working with the company to solve this but their lack of attention and effort is disheartening.Service: Junk removal

Monterey Disposal is always there when you give them a call. They do our garbage and recycling at a local business that I work for. They are a local company, not some mega-corp. with tentacles spreading across out land like dare I say it? ( Waste Management) When you try and get through to the large companies it is most difficult and time consuming.Service: Junk removal

Wish I could give 0 stars. Monterey needs to change disposal companies. Been forced to use this company for a little over a year and today is now the 12th time they haven’t picked up our trash even though we pay our bill, because cars on our public street park “too close”. Yet the cans from our neighbors literally right next to ours (and same distance from cars) get picked up. The truck also arrives to the neighborhood 15-25 minutes earlier than his 6am curfew every single week.

The driver knocked the side view mirror off my vehicle. When I called they lied about it, saying their driver saw it dangling by the cables when he passed. False. I witnessed it. After getting the runaround with their "family" owned business I called the police. Monterey Disposal did not want their driver getting charged with hit and run and reluctantly promised to fix the damage. They mailed a new mirror but it was not even OEM, instead it was the cheapest available, and I was stuck with the install.For months after that the driver would forget to pick up my trash or find some pathetic excuse, claiming my bins were too close and needed to be 18 inches apart (so I went out and measured, they were 15.5 inches apart). Or they would claim that my bins were overloaded when they were not.What the heck? Who has time for a feud with the garbage man?These days I will not give them any excuse, my bins are on opposite sides of the driveway. But I'm reticent to even post this review for fear of further retaliation from their driver, who regularly talks on his cell phone while operating the truck.

The recycling truck has refused, once again, to pick up my recycling. It has been over a month now. I have repeatedly gone through it trying to make it appropriate for the recycling bin but the man constantly finds some small detail. Last week he dug to the bottom to inform me a sprite bottle had a 1/4 ounce of liquid and said he couldn’t dump the bin. I took it out and like clockwork he refuses to pick it up. Today the excuse was a sheet of plastic and paper product ( which last time I checked plastic and paper were under the recyclables ) and a cardboard egg box. The egg crate bra has no shells of egg run off. I’m sick and tired of the blatant targeting and harassment. This is highly unorthodox. I literally have been waiting and watching the last three weeks and I personally see him digging through to find any excuse ( apparently no matter the level of ridiculous ) just to avoid his job. I personally asked him why he wouldn’t take it and he just laughed and walked away. This is unacceptable.

I hve had this service for nine years. They have always been corteous, kind and answered any questions I had.

Very hard to get in touch with anyone in their office. You can leave a message but don't expect a call back. Not sure how they can be this bad in terms of communications. Disappointed that this is the only option in the city.

The people behind the company are the absolute worst for residential garage service. Unfortunately there is no one else on the contract for the city garbage and they know that.

Horrible service. They leave garbage (and recycle waste) all over my street every week, when doing trash pickup. I called to speak to someone and they would not return my calls.

This Company SUCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only gave it 1 Star because you cannot Post Anything Unless you choose at least 1 Star Customer Service is NON-Existent They will absolutely NOT help you in any way when there is a problem. Monterey deserves a company that WILL SERVE us, NOT Hassle US !!!!!!
