My grandpa moonlighted recycling metals after work & weekends, this was the place he sold his metal. I started at a younger age doing the same, and even worked here for a short time. I STILL bring scrap metals in here! When I come in, whether it's been a week or 3 years, Steve, Kip, Connie and everybody else respond to me by my first name and treat me like an old friend! I love these people and I can attest to their honesty and better than fair treatment of customers! I worked with this family and have NEVER seen them do ANY shady business! It made me angry reading some of the complaints on here! These people complaining, had they done so at the time of their sales, I GUARANTEE Kip or Steve would have given their material back & probably even let them keep the money! People don't understand the difference in materials and prices and get angry because they THINK they have a gold mine! Their accusations are not fair and are untrue! This family and the employees are very nice, respectful, helpful and fair! I'd recommend Mt. Clemens Metal Recycling any day to take your metals to, or to purchase materials you may need for various projects!

Always go there, they are quick and give best scrap prices.

I love this place. All of the employees there are really super helpful. I get a lot of my art making supplies there. They have all sorts of metal, including pre-stripped wire. My favorite person is Kip. He always greets me with a smile and helps me find what I need. I've dropped off metal and picked up metal. I look forward to visiting and seeing what my next treasure find will be.

I been selling to them for 9 years! I recommend them. They pay good and take care of business quickly. The scale guy weighs fairly, and will even help u to get the maximum for your metal if you make a mistake.

Friendly staff and they gave a fair price for used cats off of my car. First time I've been to a scrapyard and didn't feel violated on my way out the door. Thanks Mt Clemens Metal Recycling, I'll be back. I've got a couple other V8's that need more ear-piercing bald eagle tire ripping freedom! (Off-road use only, of course!)

Names to describe these people = No Good, Ripoff, Judgemental, Slick. I don't usually do reviews but I have to because I don't want anyone else to get scammed like I did. I just dropped off nearly 400 pounds of scrap metal and these no good theives gave me only 19 dollars. By the time you get to the point of signing receipts and them processing your scrap there is no indication of what you will get paid till it's too late. I know what I should have gotten because I have done scrapping before, but I wanted to give this company a try and I am EXTREMELY SORRY I did. I want to save anyone who reads this the trouble of even going down and getting ripped off - there are other scrap yards in the area that pay way better then these clowns, and I would have gone if not under time constraints today. By the time I got my money they were closing and it was too late for me to get my materials back. I hate this place and these people for what they did to me and they owe me money. SAVE YOURSELF SOME TIME. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND THEY WON'T GIVE YOU WHAT YOUR SCRAP IS WORTH. BAD BUSINESS.

Great place to scrap aluminum! I've been ripped off just about everywhere but here.. I go approx 1-3 times per week and will continue. Seems macomb scrap at 16 n van dyke are complete crooks and glr is too time costly and very dangerous to drive thru, only a matter of time before getting a flat tire in the parking lot
