DO !!! NOT !!! GIVE !!! YOUR !!! BUSINESS !!! HERE !!! Our car broke down on the side of the highway while traveling through NC and he towed our car while we spent the night at a hotel. We happened to get a ride past the shop the next day and our car was left in the parking lot of the shop, not even inside the gated area, UNLOCKED WITH THE DOOR OPEN, and over $3,000 worth of items were stolen from inside. This man had full responsibility of our car and was too stupid to even lock the door or put it inside his shop. The police suggested we sue him for his carelessness. I am disgusted by the owner and his service. Not to mention he still charged us $400 for towing after this all happened. Terrible, terrible people.Service: Car towing

The first time I had my van serviced there I experienced excellent service. I had the transmission fluid changed for the first time ever in my vehicle and I had bought it used. Ashley was very professional and helpful when it came to discussing future routine maintenance. The price was really reasonable too. I paid less for the transmission fluid change and a oil change than the amount the dealership was going to charge me for just a transmission fluid change. However when I took it there to have the engine replaced, the service was not as great. After a month I had to call once a week to find out updates on it. Then when I went to pick it up I was told my balance was $611 more than what I thought. It turned out to be a miscommunication but the reason I am so upset is because it was 100% avoidable. I have dealt with many shops in my life and they have always told me the full amount of the the balance when they called me to let me know the vehicle was ready, without me asking! The miscommunication was over tires. I had approved the tires online but then we decided not to have them put on and my husband told her that when he dropped it off there. I understand that people forget and she forgot to remove the work order from the system but If she had told me the amount and not expected me to ask in order to obtain the information, I would have reminded her we had changed our minds about the tires and there would not have been an issue. When I arrived the only solutions that are offered is for me to wait several hours until the tires are removed or write a check. Neither solution was satisfactory due to my circumstances at that moment. A satisfactory solution would have been they not make me wait several hours and go ahead and take the tires off.

Great experience felt like my hometown mechanic no BS involved . I was in a jam and they came through for me. I am not sure that I would have made it back 2 South Carolina if it wasn't for them. Extremely professional with their customer service and diagnosis!!. I called about 10 other shops in town no one could work on my truck. I drive a GMC 3500 HD. They had no problem getting it done for me fast and efficient so I could get back on the road. If you've ever been to a diesel mechanic they're going rate an hour is about 150 to 200 dollars. I was extremely happy to walk out spending less than $700. Any other shop would have charged me at the least $1,000 and the warranty that they offer with all their work it's outstanding. I recommend this place highly . as a business owner maintaining my truck is my livelihood. And I would not have a problem trusting them with just that. once again had a great experience thanks guys😎

3x Expensive! On Thursday 9/17/20, my alternator quit on my 04 Ford F-150. I agreed to the repair bc I was on a trip and stuck. The estimate included:confirmed alternator was bad, and battery was good $57.Replaced alternator cost $580.When I paid they would not disclose labor cost and alternator cost, only a total bill with the above break down.Since the retail price on new ford alternator with warranty is under $300, they must not want you to know their labor rate is hundreds if dollars per hour.i understand all the great reviews because they evidently perform allot oI services. When you are stranded you are glad to get back on the road but I didn’t like to be taken advantage of.Services: Battery, Electrical, Electrical repair

Ashley was amazing. She went above and beyond her duties. Our car broke down and we were directed to to her service shop by the warranty company. The part was not readily available but she offered to drive us to the hotel and pick us up once the car was repaired. I highly recommend this business for their professionalism and kindness. I want to thank Ashley and Chris for coming in early to accommodate us.

On my trip to South Carolina my friends following behind me in a different car noticed my car was smoking. We pulled off to a Shell Gas Station in Roanoke rapids and all my oil drained out due to a previous mechanic (not at Roanoke Valley) cross threading a bolt. So I had my car towed to Roanoke Valley and Chris was very nice and calm. They really saved the day. They know their stuff. There’s a reason why this shop is AAA approved

We never heard of Roanoke Valley Auto Works till AAA towed our ‘94 Explorer there a couple of weeks ago. I was extremely impressed when we received a phone call from Ashley stating our truck had arrived and they’d be taking a look at it right away. She was so good about calling with every update and keeping us informed of our options. The turnaround time was just 2 days! Even though there was quite a bit that needed attention. We will be taking all our vehicles here. Friendly, conscientious, efficient, and reasonable. God Bless You!

My girlfriend and i were road tripping last summer through North Carolina and our car shut off on the way. I brought it to them and they billed me for $8,000 for a new transmission. I didn’t have the cash so i payed to have it shipped back up to my home state of CT to have another mechanic do the work. Turns out my car only over heated and the instrumentation on the dashboard had not been working. I ended up only paying $200 for a fix they said would cost $8,000 to fix. They really tried strong arming me out of the money at any chance they could. I was only 19! Never do business here if you’re life depends on it

Replaced alternator over $500/ hr!! Your invoice will not have labor broken out for a reason. OH- it was the warranty that cost hundreds of dollars. I doubt you can have the work done with out the warranty, unless they "find" you a place to stay a day or two till the non warranty one comes in. Service: Electrical
