Great place family has Ben goin here for years only place I will take my scrap when I do accumulate enough from my roof jobs

IGUARD AIR AND HEATING thinks this place is top notch. Shane spent quite a bit of time sorting through all that we had. Everyone was very friendly. Return prices were very fair. We recommend them. We will continue to use them. A big thanks to all of you!

They close early all the time without any kind of notification. Just a warning if you go towards the end of the day you will not be guaranteed to get inside the yard. I will personally never be going back to this scrap yard because of that reason. I would suggest you get there before 4:00 p.m.

What a joke there are say they're open till 5 yet if you get there at 4:31 you're not allowed into the gates. Know where does it state that you need to be there by 4:30 for them to service you. this is not the first time I've had issues with this place. Especially during the winter hours they are never open hours today state. They are extremely good for shutting the place down early because business is slow. Yet when they do that they don't post anything on their website or on their answering machine the only way for you to find out is waste your time to drive there. I really wish there was some other place closer than what is available to use if so I would never go back to that horrible place again. It's funny I've been in the customer service business and when you're our state that you're open till 5 o'clock you're supposed to be open till 5 o'clock and if there happens to be a customer in the store still you still manage to stay open to help the customer will not in this business. Obviously customer service ranks verily low on their list of priorities, by far the worst recycling place I've ever been to. They didn't have time to help me but they had more than enough time to help me but they had more than enough time for two people to sit on their asses next to the gate smoking cigarettes. To me it would make more sense to let one person work the gate and have one other person help the customers that drove out of their way to get the service is done that they drove out there for. But I guess it's more important to milk the clock and get paid to sit around and smoke and b******* with each other.

They were very friendly in person and on the phone. I free recycled a few metal light fixtures. They gave me a cart, I unloaded my car and went on my way. No appointment needed.

Guy running the scale totally ripped me off. Gave me 28 cents/ pound for perfect high grade clean aluminum and I also had a stainless steel sink, brass faucet and motor for disposal. Gave me 28 cents/ for all. 240 pounds of clean, solid aluminum. Time to drive a little further

Clean place, great customer service, just don't pay much. It's worth the trip to southwest Detroit, especially if you have just steel or shred. Big difference on pricing.

First time here and so far not a good sign, supposedly they open at 9am it's 920 and still haven't opened.
