I just deleted the review that I completed 4 years ago because I noticed that 1 year ago the new owner thanked me for my review. UPDATE! This is not the same place... Yes, you can find some things for a lower cost here, especially if you are doing body work or just need some little missing thing. As far as mechanical parts go, you're better off just ordering from ebay. Their prices have skyrocketed since the new owners took over. I have given the people in the office MULTIPLE opportunities to not piss me off (because hey, to be honest, I'm grumpy sometimes too), but it's just not worth it anymore. It is not just one employee, it has been a multitude of different people that were all rude, and they treat you like you are a criminal. You MUST have a driver's licence. I forgot mine once and ended up having to leave. I laid out on the counter my car registration, my work ID, my bank card, my NRA ID and told them they could hold on to all of that. NO. But I've been a customer here for years and years. There should be a picture of my ID in your computer system. "We changed our system." A year later, I went in for a door panel, pulled it, and got in big trouble for having a small purse hanging from my shoulder. I was asked to leave. Bags are not allowed, so your tools better fit in your pockets, folks. My friends and I used to really enjoy coming here, and if you have the same memories, then you should know that things have changed.

Sometimes it's a good place to go to get a small simple item like a visor or door handle but for other more important items you probably only be saving 20-30 dollars at the most, might as well just go buy it brand new
- GGreg Bjerk
Everything went perfectly, pulled the exact parts I needed, bought them for alot less than new, and was able to put my car back together. Thanks!!
- BBdgoebel
Went to find a part with my son he needed. We were able to find the part and save over 200 bucks and getting a new one. It's only 5 bucks to get in, they let you use a cart or wheelbarrow if you need it, they also sell batteries and fluids.
- SSky Water
5 bucks just to get in. Prices were fair. Structured smart. Good experience

Went here to get parts for a 70s Chevy pickup and they thought it was ok to charge $268 pre tax for a driveshaft that needs a new center support bearing and u joints because it’s “classic” (after I spent the 30min in the dirt pulling it). Then tell me $52 for dirty stinky seatbelts that are only the buckle side. Theyre literally garbage to 99.9% of the population and not a rarity by any means. Moral of the story, I could’ve bought an entire parts truck for what they wanted for a few parts all because they classify it as “classic” when it’s not even such. I’d expect new old stock parts that I didn’t have to go through the effort of pulling myself at that price. I’d leave a zero star if I could.

Good prices. Open 7 days a week. Cars and prices listed online. One thing that would be nice is cars listed alphabetically. I use my find on my browser to search for car I'm looking for. Some prices aren't good so I shop elsewhere but I love the option of doing it myself and saving money. I've been a customer since then opened. Thank you for giving us a place to save money and find used parts.

The lady at the desk was nice and it's a very quick process to sign in and pay a few bucks to enter. Then you go hunt down the parts you need, and the prices are solid. I was stoked to find a pair of Scion xBs near the entrance with the bits I needed. Tips: Wear comfy clothing to be outdoors, bring your own tools (they have some to rent just in case), and toss a beverage in your bag (they sell those too!) before heading on your adventure. I hope they expand the info on their website. It's an awesome place and it's peaceful on a nice sunny day.

Very friendly and helpful. The gentleman in the office was very accommodating. Give him a raise!! He made me laugh 😂😂. Very organized and extremely reasonable pricing. If I need parts, I know where to go. If I had went anywhere else, I would have certainly paid more. Thank you.

Went in there to look for a few miscellaneous things for my 95 Chevy Tahoe. I came across a hood, my hood has been "popped" for like 7 years now. I was excited when I saw this. I was a little worried about price, went and asked, it ended up only being about $55. Lots of vehicles to choose from and great prices!

Really unfortunate they’re the only pick and pull in Fargo. All of the employees are rude.
- JJason Maier
Friendly employees and they are very helpful. Overall good experience.👍

The place is inaccessible if you're coming from the east, so you have to loop around to get to the gated entrance. It was easy to do in my car, but for people with larger vehicles, that may be difficult to do. Also, I paid $5 to enter the yard for a part that wasn't even in there. Although only $5, that was a rip-off and could've been used toward ordering the part needed online. It would have been nice to know beforehand if the part was actually there or not. To end on a positive, the lady working the desk was nice and helpful, so they have great service! They just need to get a better system, because they're basically just ripping folks off if the part isn't there. 🙄
- JJason Bohl
It's a hit and miss if they have you part. Not anyone's fault. Anyone complaining about that should realize nothing in life is a guarantee. complaining about a $5 cover charge, well they gotta pay bills somehow. Let's complain about $30 movie tickets, now that's a rip off. No complaints. Just wish they had what I needed when I go. But just keep trying.

I called West Fargo Self Service Auto Parts in an attempt to get rid of an old car. The guy on the other end of the phone picked up, asked what I wanted in a curt way, and when I said I was trying to get rid of my car he immediately asked how much I wanted for it. Nothing wrong so far other than tone. Me, not having any idea how much the car was worth, just said one thousand dollars. He said he wasn't interested, told me to ask around so I could "See how far off I actually was", and then hung up on me. Will not be calling them again Edit: His tone and the way he acted lost you a future, better informed customer.

It's a great place where you can take your vehicle if you want to give it away for other people who might need some used auto parts.

- NNot You
Great place if you need a simple quick part you can go grab them yourself and pay on the way out. Hazers prices still but self serve
- AAmy Ziegler
Good place to look for parts and very reliable.Only down fall is you pull the parts from the car yourself. And it costs you $5 to get in the gate on top of your part. But very decent place and willing to help.
- CChris Tollin
Love this place. I lose track of time wandering around looking at all the potential
- DDaniel Sharp
Never ever go to this place ,first they have no idea what they have ..? (Who doesn't inventory what they have)? Second worst costumer service I have ever seen or heard anywhere in my life .....and I've been coast to coast !!! Never heard anything like it .....no stars from me...but had to give them one or I couldn't post ....don't waste your time ..this place should not be in business...
- JJack DeWulf
Employee was sure they had several models of what I needed, even though there are no inventory records. Not to mention requiring a cover fee for everyone entering even if you don’t buy anything. Wouldn’t come here again unless I was lookin for parts for a 97-03 Ford F-150

This was my go to salvage yard for my minivan. Since this last winter they have removed the entire section that was Dodge GM and Chrysler minivans and large suvs. The existing selection has been crammed together so tightly that it is no longer safe or accessible. Today I paid the entrance fee just to find this out. Because they won't refund your 5.00 just because they got rid of everything of value to you. 5$ Entrance fee and now open until 6pm all week. I am sure there are plenty of things for other people but the selection is diminished and minivan people, you need to find somewhere else to get those parts. Good bye West Fargo Self Service.
- RRasean Morrow
They have great customer service and great prices. Also plenty of parts for most used 90s to early 2000s model vehicles.
- JJonathan Smith
This Economy in the toilet 🪠🚽😆😄😆They can buy but selling is getting ridiculous
- sshawn Webb
Great experience if you don't mind tearing down cars for the part you need. Good way to learn how to disassemble a vehicle and even better way to save some money. It's a pick and pull it has to be your kind of thing to enjoy it, if you enjoy getting your hands dirty and saving money for car repairs, this is the route to go.
- JJohnD Davison
Extremely affordable, enjoy the hell out of pulling my own parts...and getting it right the first time!....lot of memories, as a young man still attached to the military..remembering when ol man Hazer would just say, "sign the book". Absolute only time for daily driver upkeep..An ready by Monday, 6am. Thanks for the 7 days a week..A+ move guys. Thanks..
- CCuster That Guy
Lots of good parts and really nice help
- BBrian Carsen
The gentleman who is always working there is always freindly and helpful. He knows what what vehicles he has out there and is very reasonable on prices. If you don't mind taking off your own parts, this place is the place for you! He makes recycling/salvage yards a FUN experience. Very highly recommended.
- IIsrael Alfaro
I love West Fargo pull it yourself salvage yard because one parts are cheaper than most and don't have to worry about finding a part for the cars I need things I don't is the girl staff lady but John is pretty cool and how messy the yard can be give me a five-dollar fee to get in kind of sucks
