What a great experience. So my 2006 Chevy 3500 6.6 HD Duramax LBZ Diesel oil cooler failed! I called Merchant Automotive and spoke with Catherine and Charlie. I immediately knew after a few questions this was definitely not their first rodeo. Super knowledgeable and very friendly. I placed my orders for the oil cooler assembly and the gasket set. I had the parts in my hands in 1 week! I’m in Arizona their in Michigan. The parts were GM original certified and sealed in the box. The packing was super secured for shipping and arrived in perfect condition. The price was very competitive and I plan on getting a hydro boost unit from them too. The ole truck needs some TLC. I had a great experience with Merchant Automotive. I brought my 2019 Duramax in after two different shops told me I needed a complete transmission replacement on my Allison. Before spending thousands on a new transmission, I decided to get one more opinion and took it to Merchant Automotive, 3 hours away. Their team took the time to properly diagnose the problem instead of just recommending the most expensive option. They found the real issue (Wiring) and were able to repair it instead of replacing it, which saved me a huge amount of money. You can tell these guys truly specialize in Duramax and Allison trucks. They were knowledgeable, straightforward, and communicated clearly throughout the process. The truck now shifts perfectly and drives like it should. It’s hard to find shops that are this honest and actually troubleshoot the problem instead of throwing parts at it. If you have a Duramax and need transmission or diesel work, I highly recommend Merchant Automotive. They definitely earned my business.

These guys know their stuff. Brought my 2016 duramax with a fuel priming issue and they figured it out within an extremely reasonable time and ease. Merchant is extremely top notch with how they treat their customers and their customers vehicles. Very hard to come by nowadays. Everything you would hope for from a business specially a shop. Especially Kevin, he was VERY communicative, and let me know exactly what was going on. And when other problems arose he was sure to let me know. Dudes great at his job.I seriously can’t recommend a shop more. Excellent service Won’t be going anywhere else.
