I believe in supporting Black-owned businesses. I believe in circulating dollars in the community. What I do not believe in is funding a hustle disguised as entrepreneurship. This place isn’t a business. It’s a late-night ransom operation with a logo. My car was towed at 3:00 a.m., and instead of professionalism, I was greeted by a self-appointed attitude "Massa" who felt it was his civic duty to “tone police” me. Imagine the audacity critiquing my demeanor while my property is being hauled off in the dark like a clearance item. I’m supposed to be cheerful? Should I have brought cupcakes too? Let’s talk about the playbook: Financial Sabotage: “Call back at 10:00 a.m.” — because apparently Sundays now shut down entire police departments. That wasn’t confusion. That was strategy. The longer the car sits, the fatter the storage fees. Funny how misinformation becomes profitable. Illegal Gatekeeping: No one can pick up the car without me physically present? Not a licensed driver. Not someone with proper paperwork. Not even an ON-DUTY OFFICER in full uniform. That’s not policy — that’s hostage negotiation. When you have to invent rules to protect your revenue stream, you’re not running a business. You’re running interference. Predatory Tactics: The whole model depends on exhaustion. It depends on you being flustered at 3:00 a.m. It depends on you not knowing your rights. That’s not service that’s opportunism in steel-toed boots. Support Black businesses? Absolutely. Support manipulation wrapped in community branding? Never. This isn’t empowerment. It’s exploitation with a marketing strategy. And the real disgrace isn’t just the towing.
