Today(2/5/26) at 12pm I went into the store for an engine light check. Once I asked if anyone could help me 4 staff members looked up but the young white women volunteered to help which I appreciated at that moment. She then proceeded to ask if I know how to scan my own vehicle and If I could. I declined as I stated I believe this should be performed by the staff. This is the 3rd time I was asked this week to do this by different staff members. So, after the young lady came out and did the scan, she walked in without saying anything, so I stood outside for a sec then decided to go in. I went and asked for a manager to which an older white women and older white man came out to talk. After explaining everything they seemed compassionate, then young black man with dreads decided to step and wanted to check me (lol). Saying this is a lady and we don't care about customer service in the middle of me talking to the managers, The managers didn't correct him, just stared at me. Even after emphasizing this is bad customer service and I can take my business elsewhere, he said "we don't need your business". Got it, so from now on I while instruct my contractors, field crew, and personal mechanic to never buy from autozone again and use the however many other part stores in the metro detroit area. This is extremely unprofessional and honestly calls for this locations whole staff to be reviewed for proper customer service, or quit if they don't like there jobs.

My battery was under warranty and first i went to the auto Zone on 8 mile in farmington and the employees were lazy and unprofessional. So I went to auto zone on middlebelt in Livonia and instantly the employees were extremely nice and willing to go above and beyond. The young lady that helped me, i didn't get her name but she is awesome. Very nice and polite. I swear she needs a promotion and a raise. If management sees this she is a young lady with brown hair. Please give her a raise. She deserves it!! Truly awesome. But they gave me a warranty swap on my battery with no problems. I won't go anywhere else to get all my car parts and assesories. If I could give 10 stars I would. Just wanted to say thank you!

I did not actually purchase anything from this store BUT i went in looking for help to get air in my tire because it is New Years Day so most places with air were closed. They did not have air BUT Tony was the kindest soul and came out to my car with me and talked about my car issues (more than just tire pressure) and helped ease my stress to get me back home (30 min away). He was so nice and informative and understanding. 10/10 reccommend Tony! He is the absolute best.
