What great service from Discount Auto Towing in St Mary's, Ga. They came to Yulee to tow my camper to Paul Clark Ford. Harley was called from my insurance company & he kept me informed on his arrival time. Loading my motorhome was not an easy job, but he made it happen, safely & securely. I would highly recommend his business. Harley messaged me after he delivered it to the repair shop & sent me photos of where he put it. Also informed/assured me that the keys had been personally turned over to the authorized person. Extremely thorough & professional. I highly recommend.

I can't thank Discount Auto Towing enough for their exceptional service! After my insurance company, USAA, sent out two other tow trucks that couldn't handle my low Lexus LC 500 without risking damage, I was frustrated and worried. But when Discount Towing arrived, they put my mind at ease. I explained the situation, and the Harley assured me they had the right tools and expertise to get the job done without a scratch on my car. He and his wife handled everything perfectly. From now on, they are my go-to towing company

This towing company tried to blatantly overcharge me in violation of state law. They demanded $100 for a non-consensual tow, claiming it was an “after hours” fee, even though under Non-Consensual Towing Maximum Rate Tariffs No. 5 the state maximum is clearly $65. I refused to pay the illegal fee after arriving at the towing company office and came back the next day during normal business hours to avoid the “after hours” excuse. Even then, they still attempted to charge me $100. The owner continued to insist on the higher fee until I specifically pointed out the state law. Only after the woman at the desk intervened and after the police arrived did they finally agree to honor the lawful state rate. This behavior is atrocious, predatory, and unlawful. If they tried this with me, I can only imagine how many other unsuspecting people have been overcharged without realizing it or without the police there to back them up. This company has no regard for the law or for fairness, and they should not be trusted by anyone. Response to the owner of this business: With all due respect, this was not a “miscommunication.” This was an attempt from you and your company to receive extra money illegally. Both you and your employee insisted I pay $100, despite the fact that the state maximum rate is lower. Your employee even accepted and received $325 at one point, until I realized I did not have my wallet. When I returned during normal business hours to avoid that fee, I was still told I had to pay the same illegal $100. When I cited the law, your response was to demand payment or threaten to call the police, despite the fact that I was not the one acting unlawfully. Therefore, I insisted on the police to be called. This is not about miscommunication. It is about a business inflating prices in violation of state law. That kind of practice directly harms customers, many of whom rely on their vehicles to work or meet family obligations. I also want to be clear: I never used my military service to avoid payment. Like any Georgia citizen, I exercised my right to refuse an illegal fee. I only mentioned my active-duty status because I needed my vehicle to report for duty the next day. Your disregard for the law and for your customers’ rights is deeply concerning, and I stand by my complaint.
