I cannot thank Joe Prince enough for the help he gave me yesterday. My car wouldn't start in the freezing cold while I was on my way to a job interview. I called O'Reilly Auto Parts Hanover, MA which was near the parking lot where I was, and Joe came, worked quickly in the intense cold without complaining, and managed to get my car running, taking it to his O'Reilly store and installing a new battery in no time, outside even in the freezing temperatures. His professionalism, kindness, and speed truly transformed a terrible afternoon into something positive. I ended up getting to my job interview on time and got home safely. I attempted to swap out my Mom’s old wiper blades in the parking lot at Advance Auto Parts just down the road, but one of the wiper blades I pulled from the package were broken. I went back into Advance Auto Parts and the gentleman refused to exchange the blade for me. Granted, it was the second time in a row I pulled a broken wiper blade from the package, so I understand his hesitance, but I never even left the parking lot. I hadn’t done anything nefarious with them. There wasn’t some wiper blade scandal going on. I was just trying to change them out for my Mom as a good son does. Annoyed, I went down to the O’Reilly Auto Parts to buy another wiper blade of the same brand as I didn’t want to deal with the gentleman at Advance Auto Parts again. Alex greeted me at the door and asked if he could help me find anything. I explained to him the situation and that I was looking for a good replacement for the broken “new” wiper blade I pulled straight from the package at Advance Auto Parts. He saw my annoyance and met it with understanding, then even attempted to exchange it for me since the gentleman at Advance Auto Parts failed to meet customer expectations. He wasn’t able to, but the sentiment remained. He was willing to go above and beyond what a customer might expect. A testament to his good nature and character. He’s a good man and O’Reilly Auto Parts is lucky to have him on-board.
