I had a very frustrating experience with Bernie’s Automotive. I entrusted them with my car over a month ago, expecting a quick resolution, but instead, I was met with poor communication and inadequate service. After dropping off my car, I specifically mentioned that the battery light had come on and the car had died, indicating a possible alternator issue. Bernie insisted the problem was with the car’s computer, and despite my concerns, he chose to replace the computer first. A month later, after dodged calls and minimal updates, he finally agreed that the alternator needed replacement. Upon getting my car back, I was shocked to find the check engine light, traction control light, and 4-wheel drive light all illuminated. I’m extremely disappointed, as I specifically dropped off my car with only the battery light on. The lack of communication, failure to address the original issue promptly, and the new issues with my car have left me thoroughly dissatisfied with the service provided.

Just started going there for repairs on my 1999 Ford Ranger mainly because of his years of experience, which includes 18 wheelers. Older vehicles are a pain, always something and I cannot afford a newer vehicle yet. So far my dealings with Bernie have been great. He's very personable, has been easy to contact, will work in a last minute fix if he can, has kept repairs very affordable for me and willingly explains the issue and options. I never ask how much it will cost because per my experience so far, he does what he can to do a quality repair and keep it in an affordable range. Just a really nice, easy going guy. Glad he's around. Update: 2023 Still my mechanic, wouldn't trust anyone else. I got a larger Dodge truck a few years back, had him go through it, fix what was needed and he's been keeping it in good repair for me ever since. He's still the same great guy as the day he opened. Great work ethic, people skills, always positive and honest. *Tip - He really appreciates people that take care of their vehicles. Hey good motivation to clean your vehicle at least once a year too. Anyway, a big "Thank You" to Bernie and the crew.
