I was traveling through Nevada over the holiday weekend in an old, regularly maintained vehicle. Crossing HWY 50 I had some issues, and by the time I descended out of Austin the truck lost power. As many people told me, I lost power in the one spot that had cell service. There was no answer at Durick that evening, but I was prepared to camp and tried again in the morning. Everything went great. The attendant on the phone was very thorough, and reassuring, and walked me through the time frame of a tow to Battle Mountain. She called back with a confirmation, and the truck arrived at the time estimated, given the distance from town. The driver is an experienced professional who had the truck on the bed in no time. He was kind enough to share some of the area with me and, again, pointed out how lucky I was by having cell service. He dropped me at an auto shop in town. All of this on a Saturday after Christmas. The transaction was clean, everything came in real time via text. The quote was below what a further company had quoted me, and I was in town much sooner. I felt that my vehicle was respected and expertly loaded. Be prepared when driving this stretch of Nevada, and be prepared by having Durick Towing's number in your phone. Really.
