Rodney did an excellent job since the moment I came to drop off my car for a 30k mikes inspection and a software refresh. Contacted me often to let me know how things were going, called me the second day to say the car was ready to go. Came by to pick it up and Rodney took care of everything in a very expedite way. Thanks VW Alamo Heights !

My wife purchased a used car for our first time driver daughter and the car had immediate issues on the drive home from the dealership. The low oil pressure light came on when leaving the dealership. I called the dealership to see what they could do as the car did not drive for more than 20 miles before this became an issue. They would not take the car back but instead offered a 12-month warranty by a 3rd party company. We took the car in for service a total of 4 times to try to get this resolved and it just confirmed my fears that the car needed a new engine and the one in it could not be repaired. The car was at the dealership for over 5 months while trying to get this resolved and the dealership would not ever call us to give us any updates on the progress so we would constantly need to call them to try to get information. I was very frustrated with this entire situation and spoke with the General Manager of the dealership (Robert) to see what they could do for us as they sold us a bad car. During this process we found that the car was at the dealership service department 2 times prior to the car being placed on the lot for sale for the exact same issue (low oil pressure light). The dealership said that the warranty company denied the claim because the cost was going to exceed the warranty plan. The dealership was not willing to compromise and make this right for the customer but instead expected us a repeat customer to take the hit and loss on this. The Service Director Michael Terry was not sympathetic to our situation and was more worried about charging for any extras that might be needed to replace the engine than help make the situation right for the customer. Chris Cameron the Sales Manager at the time was understanding of our situation but the General Manager Robert only offered to trade us out for another car. Trading us out for another car would have only given the dealership another opportunity to make more money off us instead of doing the right thing and helping us get the car fixed under warranty. We ended up taking the car to a small independent auto repair shop and would you believe that they were able to do what the dealership could not do in 5 months for us. They also made it simple for us not like the dealership whose service department lied to us saying that the warranty company denied the claim because of the cost of the repairs. This independent shop went through the same warranty company and they stated that the warranty repair was approved to be done at the dealership when they filed the claim with the warranty company. So, someone is not telling us the truth and I believe that it was Volkswagen of Alamo Heights being more concerned about their profits instead of taking care of the customers. I will not do any business with this dealership in the future. Do not trust the service department! Look at other reviews as other people seem to have a similar experience with their service.

When my 2019 Volkswagen Atlas light came on the brake light that is I had no idea it was gonna be the whole casing that had to be replaced. I had a warranty on it, but wasn’t sure if that was gonna cover it. I went in and found out it was gonna cost about 245 if I used my deductible, but Rose and Linda was so helpful and she got me to check my warranty and was able to get my car repaired within two hours she was very friendly. She was courteous and she even told me they were gonna wash my car after I already washed it the day before I never realized the service of Volkswagen was this good it may be a 2019 Atlas but I love this car and I love the company even more now and I won’t go back until Rosalie’s there to help me with the next situation which is an oil change so thank you Rosalinda. Thank you so much took the stress out of my day and I went back right out to make more money. see you again.
