The best place in town to recycle and the *only* place where you can recycle GLASS! The proceeds from the recycling also go directly into scholarship funds. It is easy to drop off, even after hours, though if you go during the day on a weekday, there are often attendants working to assist you. I especially love that you can bag your aluminum, tin, and plastic altogether. This saves a lot of time vs. separating everything like you have to do when using United or City of Lubbock drop-off locations.

I just spoke with Kevin in regard to the TTU recycling program. The fact that TTU is making this into a scholarship program and a work program for students living on campus, not to mention the environment issues that are being addressed is absolutely amazing! I'm so glad I heard about this program, I'll be heading to the TTU Physical Plant shortly with my first load of all recycling materials. What an amazing program, hopefully other colleges and universities will step up to the plate with the same programs! Guns up!!

The recycling center can be found by following the small signs. I love that this is here so I don't have to pay to get my recycling picked up. It is a very easy system with putting bagged in one area and glass and cardboard in other bins.
