Not sure who I called here, or if in same building as Sargent's… I've used Sargent's before, they're pretty good for big trucks… but last night, a family member broke down at 1am, and needed a pull with a rollback. So AAA couldn't find anyone, and family member said 2 other large ones in the area, sargents was one, wouldn't have anyone til 5am earliest… which everyone supposed to be 24hr, and they can't handle it, probably length of tow was too low for their profit book. Called another who was interested until they found out it was a 10mile job, then all of a sudden, he didn't have any trucks, they were broke down. All these guys, including this, are registered to pull for county sheriff, as that's how I found these guys. Called this guy, said could get there within the hour. I think my kid was home within an hour. Wasn't long afterward, maybe 10-15minutes, family member gets a call from driver, on the way, 10-15min. Shows up, family member says extremely nice. I get the implication he was understanding of situation, and he got em home, if wasn't less than an hour, is was right at an hour. Tow dispatch also gave help for reducing costs, and was quite nice, I felt… being a trucker, I usually end up dealing with quite a lot of road service guys of all types… and usually don't have a lot of nice to say about em. I'll say this - after the conduct shown on phone while I was helping set this up for family member, and the updates that said family member gave me about the driver…think I'll be sticking these guys permanently in the phone as #1 call for getting something yanked from A->B. Speed, pleasant and helpful attitude setting up the call, and just how close/fast/apparently very professional and understanding/sympathetic of situation the driver was… (I don't remember names, and wouldn't put em here anyway)… keep it up, y'all doin' it right to overtake the competition around you.
