Ever since this place got bought out and went corporate they have become very hard to deal with. I've been a customer there for 25 years, but when it's corporate they couldn't care less. I have really tried to keep my business local but they seem to be doing everything they can to make that hard. I purchased a reman starter from them on 11/26 and when it got cold out a week or two later the starter would not do anything and left me stranded. Not the end of the world but stuff happens. I did call them right away to make them aware of what was going on, but because I didn't have time to change the starter again right away and I have other vehicles I took a couple weeks to make room in my shop to change the starter again but in the meantime my neighbor told me he had a new one sitting on the shelf that he had no use for and gave it to me. Because this and the fact that I didn't want to do this a third time because of the questionable reman in the first place I decided to just return the defective part and ask for a refund. They already got my core for $40, but I don't need it so I don't care about that, I just wanted my money back minus the core they already refunded me for and they can keep the core. When I brought the starter in they said they would replace it with another substandard rebuilt unit but would not refund my money. I said the thing didn't last 2 weeks, I don't want another one that is going to strand me again and make me have to do the job a 3rd time. They didn't care, just told me to take it or leave it. I don't see how this is an unreasonable request on my part, but it's corporate, so you're just a number to them. Sure am glad Oreilly's moved in down the street now since I would have to be a fool to buy anything here again as I know they won't stand behind what they sell. If I was trying to do this 11 months later I could understand, but when your part didn't work 2 weeks later? Come on. It's not like I was asking to be compensated or anything like that, I just don't want your poor quality starter to sit on my shelf until the car is gone.

Only started using Bumper To Bumper about 2 years ago when doing all 4 brakes (with calipers) on my own, for the first time in decades. Great experience with staff, including Nick & Christine. Was there a couple weeks ago for new front rotors & pads prior to a road trip up the the U.P. Have had only positive experiences so far!

Argumentative management staff after being told they had something they didn't. If it was a misunderstanding, that's fine but don't sit there and blame me after I drove 20 minutes each way based on your poor explanation.
