maybe i don't understand or they didnt. I had a prius the was crashed going 15 mph in the front and the radiator cracked. I only had enough coolant to drive to them, no one else was around. I asked how much to get it back on the road. i thought maybe $2000 to pull the frame, change the radiator, repaint one of the panels - They said $6000. I immediately listed on craigslist and sold for $600. The guy the purchased it listed it the very next day for $4500. How the heck was their such a huge price disparity? If they didnt want the job, they should've told me. I trusted there judgement because they were small shop, but i got screwed and learned later I could've fixed it enough myself to keep the car on the road for a $700. One of their shop guys said he hoped I was getting a good price for it. I said why would I, when its $4500 car with a $6000 repair. He walked away quietly, I sold it, you live and learn On the plus side, they let me keep at their shop for a few days while i tried sell it.
