This turned out to be a really fun and educational stop. I was pleasantly surprised that it was not a big tourist trap. The museum is well curated and the sidewalks were in good repair. I was there in Early February on a week day so I only met 3 other tourist and that was in the first building. I spent 2 hours doing the tour and enjoying the grounds that were opened to the public. The women at the ticket counter were knowledgeable and very helpful. At the back of the gift shop was a sauce bar and you could taste all the flavors.

I visited Tabasco for my birthday before Mardi Gras and it was everything and more! I have been a longtime Tabasco fanatic and have always wanted to visit and it exceeded my expectations. We booked the private 2 hour experience and it was worth every penny and so fascinating. We were lucky to have Lisa as our guide and she is a gem of a human, who is so knowledgeable and authentic - you can just tell her passion for the business and manufacturing process is next level. Lisa, thank you for an unforgettable experience. We enjoyed the tour from start to finish. The entire staff is so accommodating and friendly - loved it and as my shirt says… stay spicy!!

We visited the TABASCO Factory Tours and, as TABASCO fans, we really enjoyed the experience. It’s a fun and surprisingly interesting stop while exploring Louisiana. The museum gives a clear overview of the brand’s history and its deep roots on Avery Island. Being able to follow the production process in the factory, even from a distance, was very enlightening and great to see in real life. The shop is also a lot of fun, with more variety than you might expect. And don’t skip the tasting area. Sampling all the different TABASCO varieties is absolutely worth it and a highlight of the visit. A great stop if you’re curious about food production or simply love the sauce. Definitely recommended when you’re in the area.
